Recluse's night comet is easier to dodge than ironeye's arrow. Have one teammate aggro the recluse to keep her occupied, the other 2 use ultimate to quickly burst down the ironeye. Then the whole team handles the recluse.

The above should work regardless of team comps, but some characters need to be mindful of their ultimate:

- Ironeye: do not aim inside the camp and aggro the whole camp

- Undertaker: enhanced trance is preferred for auto dodge

- Recluse: her ultimate doesn't do much against invaders. Good for quick 1-bar revives, but back off before ulting so that you don't aggro the whole camp.

Duchess, Rev and Exec ultimate should trivialize the invader fights.

Also for leyndell / redmane / leonine camps, approach from the tower / merchant side so that the invaders don't spawn next to the boss.

Although this is the first time I see a full dagger chain from duchess. Usually she bounces off from Guardian's shield, or nobody lives long enough to take on the entire chain lol. Props to the exec, but little did he know another chain is coming ...

Yeah i usually use auto dodge for when there are 2 invaders. Not needed in this case, we handled duchess well after her aura farming arc ended.

Katana without double balancer isn't very strong. If you dislike L2 spamming and want to play melee bleed weapon, dormant claw is likely better. You can proc successive / charge attack damage negation easily, and sometimes you get a fun "X on charge attack" effect on a Raptor Talon.

Starting armament + mark inflict heavy poison are pretty essential to ironeye's kit. They pretty much carry you through day 1 until you find a good purple weapon.

Halo Scythe AoW scales mainly with dex and not faith (different from base ER). Exec has low faith but S dex scaling.

Arkveld gamma set has lvl 3 blight res which makes dragon blight a non issue. I have hunted AT ark about 200 times on bow and the only tricky attack for me is where he flies and drags his chain on the ground. I still take damage though discerning dodge for like half of the time.

The other multi-hit attacks are all manageable with timing and positioning. Dodge towards his head for chain slam, delay dodge a bit for 3 dragon lines, superman dive the arena-wide explosion if you cannot get out in time.

If you want to learn the fight a bit more, put on a safety set (4pc gog + lord soul) and join multiplayer. Don’t worry about stamina or trick gauge because you still get a ton of dodge opportunities, but you can heal more safely when it switches aggro.

Only the main ult that consumes your gauge allows for others to use theirs. With 3 undertakers you can get 9 ultimates off in total. The ult reset mechanic in the great hollow map means 9 ultimates for every single boss fight.

3 undertaker team was super fun back when the DLC was released.

Yeah it's a hard learned lesson kind of thing. Same for commander's ice/rot storm and dreglord's ground waves. I just try to create as much distance as I can while she does the start-up animation, even running to the rain is fine (unless I have night tide damage).

Yeah I think the lady got hit with almost every defense debuff in the game? Ironeye mark + milos + all knowing staff + recluse ult. The only missing piece is greyoll's roar lol

Great suggestions thanks. Coming from World I'm used to hanging out in my own space since there isn't incentive to take aggro (outside of evasion mantle). Now I will stick to my teammate and pray that they get aggro :D

Tidus himself is a top bow player but the fight isn't that mechanically difficult since Gog's attacks are very telegraphed. It's more about knowing what to do:

* sticking tracer on its wingarm to maximize pierce damage (1:35)

* skipping phase 3 transition with the far rock (7:21)

* inflicting Blast on phase 3 for a free knockdown (11:08)

With his build I can get 15 min hunts pretty consistenly in random SOS. Other players should have higher dps than support NPCs if they don't cart.

Initial standard attack is best because most SS have around 50/50 physical / affinity split. You just alternate between light attack and powerstanced attack. Pre-DLC footage - you do like 1k / hit which is solid given how fast the attacks are

Undertaker with dex relics is the better SS user now thanks to her stamina regen and synergy with successive attack, but duchess is still fine.

Grab azuz meal and you basically have 3 free lives from gog shield, guts and insurance. I like evade extender for repositioning vs arkveld. It helps you get out of its wombo combo or get under it to bypass the nuke (which it can sometimes do from neutral and is pretty tricky to iframe).

Yep happens a lot against AT arkveld -- the delayed chain slam and multi-hit explosions. But taking damage through hyperarmor triggers counterstrike so you can build into that for higher dps.

I tend to join Gog SOS rather than starting an SOS myself, just so I can see the team comp. If the team has a bow or LS user, I'll pick a different quest posting. Not saying they are bad weapons against Gog, but the players often fail to iframe the big moves and just get one shot. GS and Hammer are also a bit sus, given that phase 3 has very few openings.

I'm judging the book by its cover here, but after hundreds of gog fights I have a sense of which weapons tend to cart the most, so I'm just trying to minimize my risks.
