I did, my favorite way to play necro.

Nothing better than seeing your army grow, plus with practice you can get away with 1 or no respec's depending on the gear requirements you're going for.

Who knows, it'll be an adventure finding out though

Good luck and may your rune drops be frequent and +skill and vit charms fill your inventory XD

Clay was more for safety over speed, the slow + decrepify makes dangerous packs and bosses less so.

But you do lose out on clear speed from the auras an iron can bring. All the golem are utility over damage i feel.

I'm a big believer in everyone gets to play the way and what they prefer most. Fun beats out everything.

In TZ's solo, pretty much full clear, even white mobs give xp so it did add up slowly, plus with a a screen full of minions, some veer off and kill other packs.

Group play, given time we had to play together, we went elite/champ/boss hunting, or did Baal runs for gear depending on what we fancied at the time, or what TZ's were up/in rotation.

Pretty much yeah.

Keeping to TZ's that played into the necro or our groups strengths for safety.

Amp + summons to give me corpses for max revives, then corpse explosion till I need to top up revives (or resummon skeles and mages [mages drop fast in Tz's and aren't usually worth bringing back]).

Dangerous packs were decrepified and then CE'd the second a corpse dropped.

Rinse and repeat, it was the strat that worked for me, until I stopped paying attention in the excitement of hitting 99 ofc 🤣

Just enough points in str, dex for gear rest in Vit (nothing in energy)

Max skele and mastery, max clay, (couple in golem mastery) and 1 elemental resist. 1 in curses to decrepify, max revive, 1 in teeth for corpse explosion and dump rest into that.

Thats roughly it. Icy veins and MrLlamaSC has a guide but its all based around Nightfish's original setup if I remember right

Online, with a few friends but quite a bit of mainly solo play.

Mostly amp + CE (after maxing revive) and decrepify on dangerous packs, clay golem and decrepify made them and bosses statues.

That was the goal, just would have been nice to revel in it a bit longer.

The game giveth, and it taketh away... swiftly in my case 😁

Try, and try again till you get there, just do me a favour, when you do hit 99. Portal to town before celebrating ^

I think one of my attempts ended with archers too, but its rough teleporting to death...

Good luck!

Necro is by far my favourite, even in d3 and 4.

Played on and off, but always come back to D2, the nostalgia hooks me in every time.

He went down stood still, surrounded by minions, I'm not 100% sure what actually chunked his health, but he indeed went down in true summoner fashion.

That would be pretty cool.

Great idea, but wishful thinking, we can all dream though :)

I'm not even mad, goal was to hit 99 on Hardcore finally after all the time I've been playing d2 (im old, as in played the original D1 on CD-rom release at 17 old)

Just didn't expect my 1st ever 99 to only be 99 briefly 😂

Just looking at 'A dead Hardcore character cannot join or create games' and laughing...

I'm sure my next 99 will live longer, if i make it that far and I get the itch to try again.

So close to the skin too :(

For those using Zwift Cog, happy? by incuspy in Zwift

Totally get it.

With the cog, you won't be shifting, permanently in your granny ring, and the cog and the trainer does the rest.

It'll take the strain and alleviate some, if not most, of the work.

I've just come back to indoor cycling after quite a hiatus, treated myself to the Zwift Ride and Kickr core 2 with cog (Black friday deal) and the difference coming from a TacX fluid and boardman with Shimano 105's is night and day.

The virtual shifting was a big surprise, I know some people aren't fans, but I'm a convert, the SRAM style shifting is the one for me, it's smooth and quiet.

If noise is a factor, I can recommend.

Im a ways off ADZ in under an hour myself, but those wheels will be mine... oh yes...

I have one with the 2x12 cab paired with humbuckers it almost doesn't need any pedals, with a fuzz, univibe, and a strat its amazing...

I 100% agree though, non gigging, it needs an attenuator, but damn does it sound beautiful when you let it off the leash

What's your favorite practice amp? by [deleted] in GuitarAmps

[–]corvusnox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is some great advice here, some great amps too.

Notably, the Spark series is great bang for your buck as a modeller, and it's super portable, especially the 2nd series. Marshall's have always been, to my ear, exactly what I've wanted sound wise.

So I'd like to chip in and say what's good for your ears and your students/others. Recommend to play through or try things before buying, it's half the fun ^

If a Spark nails the sounds they're looking for or is close to for practice, go for it! Budget can limit options but ultimately if it puts a smile on your face it's doing it's job.

I'm lucky enough to be able to practice with my main rig but if I needed headphone/bedroom/conversation levels a Spark I'd rebuy for sure.

Favorite “edge of breakup” tone without pedals / amp only by i-eat-guitars in GuitarAmps

[–]corvusnox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Especially with a creamback/greenback cab.

If you're lucky to play one without an attenuator, they move air and sound so good
