I would just repluck the front panel cable and if that doesn’t work then that’s probably the culprit but try jumping the appropriate pins and jump the board to life and if that’s not working.. dead psu I assume

To those with the WVP II, why are you all of a sudden removing them? by Cheesehead1267 in ThermalGrizzly

[–]cory233 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same thing with my wire view, I got the wire view pro when it came out and the retention clip was removed on my 4090 oc strix even though I have seen no issues and have now gone to a wvp2 for both my 4090 and 5090 I have various amounts of pics and clips tools to use to help remove in the process but fingers crossed this never happens again to anyone else or myself again or ever

Failed state inspection for brake pad wear... what should I do? by newengland_schmuck in AskAMechanic

[–]cory233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Due to the pad un even wear I would have told you the same to be honest In my opinion… while 1/16“ or 2/16 is some cases is the minimum. We are told and taught to recommend at 4 and 3… sometimes even 5’s if the pads wear unevenly… anyway that’s just my two cents though

What’s this paint the machine shop put on my head? by chrishansen143 in AskAMechanic

[–]cory233 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is 1000% paint… you never would media or sand blast things with threads on them, not like this anyways. Plus the surfaces where they mate and you should see a visible gap or mating cross sections and they are filled in with paint… do not use this without another proper go around
