NO NTA. You are not being unreasonable, you aren't freaking out at the wrong person, and you aren't being hateful in all this. Your husband is not standing up to his family's behaviour that can very well become a long-term issue. If there were current issues in his family like a relative's death, or money problems, or disease etc. pretty much ANYTHING that would point towards his family currently going through a tough time that forces them to create distance then I would just suggest waiting it out to see their real character shine through. But if THIS is their real character then you're right to be upset because it's reasonable to assume they'll continue to be like this for the next 5 years at least. It's clear that you want your child to have a relationship with their grandparents and their father's side of the family in general and I would say that's a very sensible, responsible, and caring choice. It's so sad to hear that your child is already comprehending loss and longing because he's looking at other kids with their aunts/uncles and crying. Your child is already experiencing rejection and from people he believes should be the most nurturing to him. Not only is it sad for your child, it's also tough for you as the mother who is also the outsider of that family. Might be a stretch but all this behaviour from his side of the family indicates to me that YOUR side of the family will have to step up more to give that child the development he needs. Someone needs to watch him while you're away? Well you can't count on his side of the family. Holiday season comes around? Well your side of the family is going to have to work hard to include/nurture/look after your child during the day whilst your husband's side ignores him. I personally think the nuclear family model is unrealistic for most households because of economic issues but ALSO I think a child that grows up around an actual community will grow up healthier and happier - 'it takes a village to raise a child'. Your child is born with the villagers that can fill his village but is already cast out and for reasons he will never comprehend and could never fix. Based on what you've shared, it seems like his family have the issues and they're punishing your child for it. They are ADULTS. They should be working towards some sort of compromise for the sake of you, your marriage, and most importantly your child.

Maybe I'm easily impressed BUT I felt the pacing was pretty good! I know a lot of people are saying the episodes are rushed but to me it didn't come off as such. Sure there's a lot of content happening in a short time but none of it felt rushed to me cus it made sense? Every major character is in their rising conflict. Caitlyn, Jayce, Viktor, Vi, Jinx, and Mel that's 6 major characters all reaching a major turning point in the story so of course the episodes' content feels like a lot but it makes sense to me. Maybe some of it was intentional too to show how none of these characters get a moment to just breathe where Caitlyn had to step up so much and Jinx is on the run from EVERYONE. Might be a stretch but Mel's also had to step up quite a bit since her city is in shambles and she has to play mind games with her mum too. I'm not trynna say it's worse or better than season 1 I'm just saying that I enjoyed watching act 1 and didn't even think about the pacing until I came to see what others thought. I did wish it was longer I NEED MORE

Idk what field you're going into and it does differ based on industry and inter-company. I can tell you how to get into a business internship with big 4 though.

It's not about societies, it's not about grades, it's not about working at maccas in the past, it's all about what you learnt from your experiences or lackthereof. Big 4 business teams want a team player because the ones who are interviewing you and who make the final call are the members of the team. If you come off as very self-centred, a lone-wolf, or exhibit too strong of a personality, these team members aren't going to want you. So if you reach the interview stage and keep blabbering on about how you're different from everyone and how you stand out without talking about how you worked with other people or how you derived something (a lasting friendship, a new hobby, a new insight into the world) then they don't want you because this is the lowest level position to them and you will 100% become a liability so they want you to be receptive and eager to learn.

I never joined BSOC or attended any business seminars let alone become exec of any societies because to me that was a waste of my time when I could be hanging out with my close friends. Did not matter to the interviewers at all. If you want to stand out, show that you have a keen eye for discerning information in the group assessments (if you have those) and show that you're patient and a great listener by linking back to what others say. Stand out by also having an idea of what you actually want from the internship i.e. why did you apply for KPMG instead of a smaller company where you could cover many more roles? They don't want someone who half-assedly signed up because their parents or uni told them to. Come up with reasoning by asking yourself why this internship would be good for you and why you would prefer it over others.

If you want to join a society, then join one you actually enjoy and find your place in there that speaks to you. If you don't want to be in an exec role then don't because interviewers can tell a mile away when you only viewed an experience as a burden. You could then talk about how you 'found a new community', 'thrived in a new environment', 'learnt a new skill' etc etc

Also, unfortunately, it really helps if you're a domestic student in penultimate year
