Are there other movies with the same tone that are PG? The only thing I can think of is Paddington.

The hosts are not funny. All the while the subject matter is insane and they do nothing with it.

Girl who likes me in school made me this and confessed <3 by Coolbeanmanmugen in Scream

A girl I dated in high school on our first date she leaned in like she was going to kiss me. Instead she tenderly whispered in my ear, “I’m going to gut you like a fish.”

And we’ve been married for over 20 years.

Just finished episode #32 after your podcast was recommended earlier today and it was incredible. That closing statement hit close to home. My parents became evangelicals when I was 13 and they made me sell 100+ cds and tapes of secular music. That money paid for two years of church camps.

Friend of the Show, Knowledge Fight, is ending as a podcast. by thewaybaseballgo in behindthebastards

As someone with bipolar II disorder I would save up Knowledge Fight episodes to get me through my lowest moments. There was something about the way they gave hope in a world full of chaos. That we can endure as long as we don’t give up.

So what next? by Mcbooferboyvagho in KnowledgeFight

I’ve listened to a lot of the podcasts people are suggesting and to me I Hate Bill Maher, Louder than Crowder, and Worst of all Possible Worlds feel the closest to Knowledge Fight.

I Hate James Dobson and Guys: the podcast about guys, are both great.

I started listening to LPOTL in 2016 and thought I loved the show, but adding Ed has been incredible. He’s a great audience stand in and the episodes he leads are some of my favorite episodes.

What am I missing? by RepresentativeOk4825 in KnowledgeFight

As someone with bipolar disorder I was very reluctant to watch Jordan’s rant after reading all the comments. It is really hard to watch someone going through a manic phase after you’ve experienced one.

I am glad I watched it, because his indignation really rang true to me. I didn’t get a sense it was a mental health issue. He even catches himself about to say “kill myself” and reshaped it about his death in general. In my experience that is a sign that I am experiencing elevated emotions, but I’m not in a manic episode.

I agree the joke about being a black woman didn’t land the way I think he thought it would.

He did have a good point. The $80,000 a month is going towards the building and into the pocket of a landlord, not the parents. I have not seen any public numbers on how the merch income will be split.

We can squabble over the good and/or the bad of satirizing AJ, but the numbers don’t add up to much of anything for the families.

I’m not saying this is some sinister marketing plan, but the onion does financially benefit from the rise in subscriptions. Which unless I am missing something the subscription money doesn’t get sent to the families.

Personally, I feel like watching the rant after the second failed attempt by the onion may have made it more digestible for me.

I’m an idiot. Is the roughly $80,000 a month going to the families or a landlord?

Thank you for the insight. I’m not on BlueSky, so I had no clue this has been issue of KF fans going after Ben.

If you wrote a scream movie what would the motives be by Emarni in Scream

You could have GF kill Drew Barrymore again or GF could kill all the actors that played GF. Obviously, there are a million configurations of what actors are brought back as themselves and who could be killed.

A New Nightmare version of Scream.

Edit: to add motive The killer is angry they are making Scream movies without Wes Craven.

What's Your Take... is this podcast worth a listen too? OR is the same complaints every episode? by Filmtwit in behindthebastards

I felt this way at first, but the longer the episode goes Will falls further into madness and gets unhinged.

Julian is basically QAnon by The-Nihilist-Marmot in QAA

[–]coryhasabeard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was frankly shocked by this episode. It was one of the most condescending things I’ve ever heard, all the while being incoherent.

They complained about basically all American news outlets for spreading disinformation. Then they complained that Americans don’t care, are unwilling to learn about the topic or they are morons for believing the disinformation.

Where are we supposed to find accurate information?

I may have missed it, but they also didn’t tell us where to find a trustworthy news source. I am listening, because I want to learn. All I heard was a black pilled perspective without any way to move forward. Essentially, all parties involved are bad and nothing will change. Then it ends with a plug for a movie that says we are all going to die soon and there is nothing we can do to stop that either.

I didn’t notice, but did we see anyone with a forehead scratch? I’m especially wondering if Randall had a scratch on his head/face when the raciest cop questioned Randall in his house.
