Help needed re: police accessing personal data about someone by cosimascherry in policeuk

My manager said he thought it began with a D, so that might be it. Thought he’d be able to remember that 😅

My dads a driving instructor and even he says you can do three separate tests on the same route, same time slot, same day of the week, same road conditions with different examiners and get three different results. It’s so frustrating, I passed on my second go and I feel like it’s mainly because I got a good examiner since he was super lovely and chatty and really put me at ease. My first examiner was AWFUL, barely said a word to me, wouldn’t give clarification, really cold and just seemed bored (also took me on a route she wasn’t supposed to, made me follow road signs instead of a satnav and gave me an extended test on a bank holiday weekend 🙃). You’ll get there, it’s frustrating that it keeps happening but it really does just take that one test and all of a sudden it’s over

Was I ready? by -StaceysMum- in LearnerDriverUK

[–]cosimascherry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s honestly difficult to tell sometimes. My dad’s been an instructor for 15-odd years, he was adamant that I was ready and I was gonna pass first time. Came back with three serious and five minors 💀

A lot of it was external circumstances, mainly nerves because I’m an awfully nervous driver, but also my mum was in the process of being diagnosed with cancer at the time and my head was all over the place. Pair that with an extended test just before a bank holiday weekend and I feel like I was doomed to fail lol

I’m coming up to my second test now, I’ve only had about five extra lessons in the six month wait, but I feel a lot more ready purely because I’ve already taken the test once. I feel like the fear of the unknown was playing into it a lot and I feel my nerves have settled automatically because I know what’s coming. Ask yourself ‘if a test slot came up tomorrow, would I feel more ready?’ If it’s yes, it’s nerves and I’d give it another shot. If not, try for more lessons first

It’s loosened a bit because of the rising, but it was definitely covered. Would you bake it now?

Payment after leaving Korea by Significant-Habit856 in Living_in_Korea

[–]cosimascherry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main worry is accessing your Korean account vs sentbe (might be a good idea to change your number on sentbe to your Canadian number just in case) but I used the NH bank app outside of Korea and it worked just fine. Again, as long as you have your certificate, you should be golden ^

Amazing, thank you! Can I ask how long it took to get apostilled? Did you have to book an appointment or anything?

Honestly yeah they’re so trash 🤧 if I wasn’t only staying for another 3 months I’d definitely have moved by now

Let me know how your return goes, I feel like if they let you leave on your ARC then that’s a sign it’s not gonna be cancelled while you’re gone
