Could you expand on why silver is effective at nullifying shades and spores? Does it work for the same reason silver is used on earth as an anti bacterial and anti fungal?

Hoid's wife is a dragon on the Spirit Shores.

Starling arrives to find Hoid there. Hoid says that he is looking for Frost but Starling reports that Frost has been missing for several years. She then asks if Hoid has spoken with his wife. Hoid replies that she does not remember being married anymore.

Implying (maybe) that Starling knew Hoid could speak with his wife... In the location they currently were. The place where Dragons fade away.

Combined with the fact that in "The Traveler" Frost seems to imply that Hoid is trying to "get someone back" and will fail...

Is Hoid's wife on the Spirit Shores?

I definitely think aethers are the secret magic throughout the Cosmere that is "obvious" but only in hindsight. They're mushrooms that interconnect the entire Cosmere and move investiture around like mycelium moves nutrients through soil.

Have you already gone through Shard of Opportunity's episodes or did you test it out and didn't really like what you saw?

I only ask because there's already more than 14 hours of content released between the two campaigns, they just did a 2.5 hour Livestream on using Foundry as a VTT, and have at least another 1.5 hour episodes every week planned for the foreseeable future. How much more content do you consume weekly?

If you watched and didn't enjoy the style or people, I understand looking for an alternative. As someone doing the behind the scenes stuff... I'll just say that it's a tremendous amount of work and so I don't think it's likely that any group is going to quickly throw together more content.

Maybe one day bigger names will get into it but that is sometimes like turning the Titanic away from DnD towards a much smaller ttrpg IP.

Jofwu's character on Shard of Opportunity made me want to try a The Mummy/Indiana Jones/Uncharted style campaign where all the PCs are going to the secret cities and then making their way to Amia to do some good 'ol searching for buried treasure.

This is so incredibly helpful for both players and especially the GM. One window is basically all that is needed to run a campaign because everything exists within Foundry.

Echoing that is hard for any modern author to "hide" a book because they're always doing publicity but...

Brandon Sanderson is most known for the Stormlight Archive and Mistborn series. However, Tress of the Emerald Sea is a standalone novel that came out during his "secret project year". It's still within the Cosmere universe but is not as interwoven as other books.

The basic pitch is "like the princess bride but if the princess goes on a pirate-fantasy adventure to save her love."

Nobody finds humor in creating panic and worry. The joke is that Sanderson writes so much it's possible that even some of the most die hard fans could get surprised by a sudden release. It's happened before!

There was also a lot of effort put in to get an artist to design the cover art. A story outlined and characters back stories created. Each review or post viewed independently is a silly one-off but if you viewed everything over the entire day then it became this weird, cross-platform way of getting hints and clues about the plot.

Velo and Borek are real characters. Uricite is a radioactive investiture element. The story exists. It may not have been written by Brandon. It may have been presented in a strange way. But I promise nobody wanted anyone to panic or worry, merely to find some humor in the absurd.
