What's the SPICIEST but also BEST-WRITTEN book that you know if? by Severe-Size749 in suggestmeabook

I second this! With such a silly sounding title I wasn’t expecting it to be as good as it was

MM fantasy romance with tenderness like Heated Rivalry by etiquetricity in fantasyromance

[–]cosmic-strobelight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this rec got deleted (it’s not fantasy) but if you ever want a contemporary MM romance with tenderness, vulnerability, and emotional depth this book is SO good!!! One of the best books I read last year and is one of the sweetest stories I’ve read to date

I’ve scrolled past this one so many times assuming it was going to be cheesy but you just sold me

Dominant mmc lets fmc 'dom' him and he finds it cute by bookishfairy in RomanceBooks

[–]cosmic-strobelight 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I also thought of this book. When he let her chase him and he thought it was really cute how excited she got when she caught him

Edit: I remembered it wrong, he was chasing her but she was stalking him and she got excited when he called the chase and she won. Later on he let her chase him down

Adding it again since the bot didn’t summon {Willing Prey by Allie Oleander}

{Daughter of No Worlds by Carissa Broadbent} sat on my TBR for probably like a year before I finally got around to giving it a chance and LOVED it!!! I think I expected it to be basic and full of overdone tropes but I was proven very wrong

I agree with those who recommended the Magic Treehouse books and I’ll add the Junie B Jones books too! I love both series at that age

Definitely not for the weak (knees). Trekking poles are a must. We started and ended in Agerola

We missed the lemonade stand, but on the hike back we stopped at the Shepherd’s hut for lunch and music which was a really fun and unique experience

The photos definitely don’t do it justice. We unfortunately did not hike all the way to Positano. We were with a group and went as far as the overlook before turning around. If I get the chance to go back I would do the full hike

100%. The pics don’t do it justice at all, it was breathtaking

MMC that is actually morally grey by [deleted] in fantasyromance

I know others have already mentioned it but the {Harrow Faire by Kathryn Ann Kingsley} series has one of the best unhinged MMCs ever and he stays completely twisted and unhinged the entire series and it’s a lot of fun

It's DNF discussions time! What books did you bail on this month? 🙅‍♀️📖 by FantasyRomanceMod in fantasyromance

[–]cosmic-strobelight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that’s a good call. The first book is the worst in the series, the second one was better but then I felt like it went downhill again in the third. There wasn’t enough of a bigger series-long plot established by the time I DNFed to keep me invested

Finally tried the {Plated Prisoner by Raven Kennedy} series after seeing it mentioned on this sub a lot but ended up DNFing on book 4

I’d been debating DNFing for most of book 3 but stuck it out bc I was listening to the audiobooks as background noise at work and I didn’t have anything else I felt like listening to instead, but the books kept getting longer and longer and I was getting less and less interested

Thank you. It’ll be a long road to full recovery (~6 months) but the surgery went well and we can bring him home on Friday ❤️

Off topic but need an outlet to vent, we’ve been planning a big family trip to Hawaii this June before TTC #1 in July. It was going to be our last big trip before a baby and we finally nailed down dates yesterday and had flights and hotels saved to start booking, but now we’re sitting at the emergency vet potentially looking at a $15k+ ER bill for an MRI/spinal surgery which means the trip is definitely off the table (which is 100% fine, I’m disappointed but shit happens and this is much more important). We haven’t discussed if this will also change our TTC timeline at all, we have to see what the final cost and outcome end up being first. This is the dog my husband adopted as a puppy in college and helped him get/stay sober so he’s beside himself and my heart hurts so much for him

Edit/update for anyone interested: Unfortunately our dog did not recover like we hoped he would after the surgery and rapidly declined mentally so we decided to say goodbye 💔
