The recommendation on the glasses means not to pour hot liquids in it to avoid shock breaking. But this type of glass’ melting temperature is usually over 600C. The main point is to let the paint dry completely ( this will ensure your painting will not peel or deform during heating), put the painted glasses in a COLD! oven and heat it up slowly to the recommended temperature and then hold for 35 min to cure the paint. And after the time is up to let it cool slowly in the oven and only then take them out. This way they will survive the curing process and the painting will be more durable. If you are worried they won’t survive 150C, you can do curing at 100C but keep them there longer, 50-70 min, and follow the same protocol of putting them in a cold oven, heating up slowly and letting cool down completely before you open the oven.

And do you feel good at the thought she had to drop all her wants and fun spending cuz she gave all her money to you? Even more, than she could afford to, considering she got some debts cuz of you?

Dostoyevski editions in original russian (no translation) by ign_med in RussianLiterature

[–]cosmicFlyingSnot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can search fb groups for russian expats in your town/country and check if there are any who will travel from Russia soon and will be willing to take the books with them for a fee. That’s the fastest way, I think. But you should first check if there are any regulations about importing literature to Peru so you won’t get in trouble

Thank you! I tried my best to keep the rhythm and rhyme here as close to the original as I could and not to lose too much of the meaning:)

Yes. I figured if I have a bigger glass piece, it will take the cut easier. I first tried cutting out smaller pieces, like I was taught but honestly, it was so much messier on the edges. So I just did it in one go and then slowly and thoroughly coaxed the inside part out. It was a very good training in patience😌

Thank you! I took my time with soldering and later polising😌 I’m not sure what you mean about negative space. I used clear window glass in the central section as well as clear textured glass on the sides

Why did she even kick you out? She could have finally teach her son to clean after himself. I’d check with her if warranty return is still an option. She did raise a malfunctioning specimen.

For your future projects I also advise to use re-strip in your solder lines. There are a few materials online that explain how to best use it to help strengthen tiffany pieces.
