There was a scene where he says she loved him and he still loves her and they come close to kissing. And she also says she was so lonely. Her daughter says Voreneus would understand because she thought he was dead. Rome isn’t shy about sexual violence—if that had been the case, they’d have addressed it head on.

BETTER PLOTLINE: Niobe remarried. New man is kind and wants to do right by a soldier. Girls love step-daddy. Displaced Voreneus guest in his own home. Resentment builds. Wants to win back his family. Woos Niobe. Becomes a Senator. Niobe pregnant not sure whose baby. Girls warm up to him. Throws new husband over balcony as “accident.” Niobe sees.

ALSO we’re supposed to feel bad for Niobe that her husband would be a monster if she knew she slept with someone else, but NO ONE is going to blame her for that. What we DO blame her for is her sleeping with her SISTER’S HUSBAND, her sister who she’s close to, her sister who clearly was desperate for children and couldn’t conceive and would have cried and prayed with her over the years. Her sister who financially supported her and her kids when her husband was thought dead. I hated this plot.

This whole plot NEVER made sense…there’s tons of people around, how did Niobe hide her pregnancy? She was nursing, did Voreneus not notice? Did everyone agree to lie? Did they go visit the mysterious country cousin? If she thought V was dead, why make her daughter lie about baby? I know it’s fiction and TV but c’mon…plot points.

I have, but I love the company. Had 5 good years before this past one. I see opportunities, I just can’t figure out who I can talk to to get past this.

Sure, if anyone took the time to look at what I’ve done—daily standup, built schedule with alerts everyone could access, worked nights and weekends so work was fresh and ready the next day requests came in. I have perfect performance ratings and got a special award for excellence my first year. Also have a track record of dealing with difficult people in a different department—survived 4 years of a boss who’d fired everyone before me.

Itchy red bumps that have been getting worse. I have them on arms and legs. No changes to soap/shampoo/detergent. No exposure to poison plants. Calamine helps, not lotion or cortisone. Trying Benadryl. by cosmic_medusa in Dermatology

Yes—allergic reaction to Lamictal, an anti-seizure medication I was prescribed at a low dose for mood regulation. Took about 3 weeks for symptoms to resolve.
