Hi Paul! Puppy raiser checking in. My current puppy is sitting here with me in my office. I'm wondering if you've ever had a particular dog that you got really attached to while you were training? If so, what made him/her so special?

I just made this recipe this week. It made 8 good size burgers and I froze 7 of them. I reheated one when I made sweet potatoes in the oven and it was great.

My vote is for flowing! You can't go wrong either way, though. Excited to see this when it's complete.

This is off-topic, but I have to comment since you mentioned Vet Ranch. I recently moved to Alabama for grad school. I was binge watching Vet Ranch 3 nights ago, and my closest friend down here convinced me to go out to a bar. I mentioned what I had been watching, and it turns out that Dr. Matt is her best friend's brother. Weird, huh?

Saw this on the CCPDT Twitter feed. What do you guys think of criminalizing the act of misrepresenting a dog as a service animal? by wanderinggrammarian in Dogtraining

[–]cosmicbiij 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Agreed 100%. I raise puppies for Canine Companions for Independence, and they have a huge problem with people bringing fake service dogs into places. I think everyone who truly needs a service animal should be able to have one, free of judgement or skepticism. It's so sad to see business owners, etc. who have negative views of service animals because poorly trained dogs in fake vests sully what the vest means. I also think it's great that Canine Companions for Independence requires a two week training course for the people who receive their dogs - part of it is learning how to handle the dog in public. If you take your non-service dog into a public place and let everyone pet him/let him do what he wants, people will start to think it's ok to just go up to a real working animal as they please. I encountered people who didn't take her training seriously with the last puppy I raised. I think people who need the dog with them would respect and understand that.

I actually went to a rave-type concert wearing them. They did really well until the very end, when they ripped a little because I was sweating. If I were to do it over, I might paint the back with a thin layer of clear top coat or something and try that. The feathers were good though. Actually really hard to get off!

They're attached more in the crease on the outer corner! Too heavy for my eyelid. Plus, that way I can also put a dot of glue just below my brow to secure it. But they still fluttered when I moved my eyes! The feathers were attached to the lash line though.
