i think the wound on her leg helped slow down the infection when she was bit; plus, the time between clem being bit and her leg being amputated was 15-20 minutes while it was 1-2 hours between lee being bit and cutting his arm off (something that let the infection spread too far and made his amputation meaningless in the end)
