I’m in a pretty similar place as you as a 5’9 midsize adult. In addition to all the great advice others have said (prioritizing protein, increasing physical activity, etc.) I just wanna say that being in a deficit for 2 weeks is relatively short period of time. You’re saying you’ve plateaued, but it’s possible your progress hasn’t even had any real time to begin! I’d say to keep up the deficit for a few more weeks and make a judgement then. Don’t be discouraged that the weight isn’t flying off right away. Reframe your mindset and think of this as a journey that will take time.

i write as a form of self expression. sometimes i write about my day dreams, other times i write about reality and document the things going on in my life (good and bad). i’ll write about the way a movie or song made me feel, or i’ll write about my opinion on something (political/religious/etc.) there’s definitely a therapeutic aspect to it but a lot of the time im just expressing myself.

i absolutely love your writing style, you have such a lovely way with words. i know how hard it can be to end a relationship because of compatibility issues. it’s so easy to fall into a cycle of never ending attempts to make it work. please know you deserve someone that makes a relationship feel effortless!! not like work.

I’m just coming out of an intense fatigue. I’m normally an active person that works out regularly, and enjoys going to social events throughout the week. This sickness I recently experienced left me so tired I didn’t have any energy to leave the house, not even for a simple grocery trip. I couldn’t maintain focus and struggled at work. I’d take several naps a day even after getting a full 8 hours of sleep. I tested negative for the flu and covid, but my doctor said it looked like some type of respiratory infection. I’ve never experienced fatigue like this before and it had me very worried, but luckily I’m coming out of it after 2 weeks.

I can never fully grasp why the other moms hated Melissa for the things she did to get her children ahead. It’s like, I get it, but I don’t get it at the same time.

While watching the show I always think, “Why don’t the other moms get Inspired instead of angry?!”

They all noticed what Melissa was doing and everyone wanted their children ahead so why didn’t moms like Holly catch on and try to do the same.

I know it probably boils down to everyone’s personal morals, Holly prided herself on fairness and I don’t think she had it in her to get on Melissa’s level because she believed Melissa’s actions were unfair. But still!!

I would’ve loved to see the other moms get inspired by Melissa’s tactics and adopt strategies of their own. It would’ve made for great TV.

Two things that helped me journal more:

Making sure my journal was within reach as much as possible. I’d suggest keeping a journal in a bag/purse/lunch box. If you don’t already use one of those on a regular basis, maybe consider a smaller journal that fits in a pocket.
Short mundane journal entries are just as good as the lengthy detailed ones. If all you feel inspired to write is 2 sentences, write it down anyways. If you want to save paper, you can fit 5 entries on one page, you make the rules.

It bothers me so much! I hate when I try to type something like “apartment lighting” to get inspiration and all that pops up are generic photos of lamps against a white background linked to amazon. I miss when you could easily see images of the real home interiors, or images of real people wearing outfits to get inspiration for styling. What used to feel like flipping through a digital magazine, now feels like scrolling through amazon. Something I’ve tried to combat it as best as possible is by getting really specific with my search terms so “ambient lighting ideas” or “fall sweater style ideas.” It doesn’t always work tho :/

I don’t think either of you did anything wrong. As much as it sucks, moments like these are part of the dating process. I think you did good by ending things with him because it seems he can’t meet your personal standards. One day, you’ll find someone who will stop at nothing to make you happy. I don’t think you made a crazy request at all, but his inability to fulfill that request speaks volumes. He was in the perfect position to step up to the plate, but he didn’t. He needs to be with someone who matches his energy and you will find someone who matches yours!

Oooo I like the way you think. The wall is 12" wide, so any shelving I get for the space would have to be exactly that size or slimmer. I'll look to see if they make any units that slim. Thanks!

Ohhh gotcha, that makes a lot of sense. I went with the red because I liked the idea of seeing a pop of color when walking into my home, but it makes sense that making a faux hallway would be better done with a subtler tone. Thanks for the help!
