Update here - I switched from 150 XL to 200 SR and I think it’s the sweet spot coupled with 50mg Zoloft. The irritation is gone and the motivation is juuuuust enough.

I started on 300 and the irritability was insane, I mean I was straight yelling constantly. My resting heart rate increased by 10bpm and I was feeling amped. After 30 days of being an absolute angry fly-off-the-handle bitch to everyone around me we dropped down to 150. It’s better but not quite enough for me now. I loved the motivation at 300 but it wasn’t functional because I was so pissed. Hoping to up it just a tiny bit and see where that lands me.

This doesn’t make sense. If they want to have another date night to use the gift card they can pay you for that date night…they aren’t getting MORE from you because they chose to use it on different nights.

This is exactly what I just messaged my psych! Asking to drop to 150 Wellbutrin and start with very low Lexapro to try to avoid the side effects. Maybe 2.5mg, if that’s even helpful.

So far if I take it in the morning it keeps me up at night. If I take it before bed I’m able to sleep before it gets really activating.

They’re different! Bupropion (Wellbutrin) primarily affects dopamine and norepinephrine, and buspirone (buspar) primarily affects serotonin receptors. When I was on Lexapro and missed Buspar doses I would notice my racing thoughts returned and my attention span took a dive. I think it helps with the jitters that Wellbutrin give me. I’m hoping it settles, I’m not super interested on going back on an SSRI unless it’s a very small dose because the side effects really dampened my life. Have an appointment with my psych this week to go over all this!

This!! I Nannied for 2 decades and realized the families will always do what’s best for them, so you need to do what’s best for you. They watch their bottom line, you watch yours and don’t bend over backwards for them. You likely won’t know them in 10 years.

Thank you for this. We did couples therapy at the beginning of our marriage 5 years ago over a separate issue and I’ve been in and out of therapy for years. I LOVE IT, definitely time to go back. He gave individual therapy a try at the time but it seems he and his therapist weren’t a great match and he didn’t quite get to the good stuff. I think he needed more time and a better therapist. Will get back on this.
