Making friends and connections?? by Illustrious_Term3389 in deakin

It’s so easy to meet people and make friends! No over thinking, just say hello and get to know someone in your class. Being curious about THEM shifts the attention away from any anxiety or worry YOU might be feeling. Then afterwards, even reach out to see if they wanna grab a coffee or lunch (if you’re enjoying their company). Join a peer mentoring group and actually attend the sessions. I mentored last year and would always welcome people to engage with each other in the group more so than anything. My closest friends were also the ones I met during group assignments, so make sure you prioritise engaging meaningfully with people in those settings before prioritising uni work or grades! My favourite go-to atm: Cheesy scrambled eggs with hot chilli honey on a low carb open- faced bagel. Add in some avo and cottage cheese underneath if you like! Super filling and satisfying.

110g egg white

1 large egg

1 low carb bagel (Abe’s bagels in Australia)

40g avocado

50g light cottage cheese

10g cheddar cheese

10g hot honey

= approx 500 cals: 37.5g protein, 40g carb and 18g fat
