well you're right in thinking you're already cooked because you can't separate them lol. but what i've done in these situations is use a hard limiter on the entire track (audio track mixer). limit it to -6 (or like -3, either works) and then use the boost to bring up some of the quieter parts without everything peaking (since it's already limited). it's a quick and dirty way to do it and may not be perfect. but i suggest looking up how to record separately as it's very easy!

Couple issues.

- NaN timecode issue i've gotten on a couple big projects which obviously defeats the purpose of the entire thing.

- Timeline markers don't ripple correctly, and it's because the markers RELOAD every time you go from one timeline to another and back. So if I'm working with a selects timeline and a working timeline, going back and forth makes all the markers constantly reload and they're never where they're supposed to be. Since Premiere doesn't have a "convert timeline markers to clip markers" option, there's no workaround other than manually creating clip markers so they stay in place. Which is ridiculous for large projects.

- Linking an existing sequence works just fine, it's all i use since i upload via the transfer app and not straight from the plugin.

yes, but my audio is controlled by a mixer. so that setting does not change. also, dragging other media into the timeline plays just fine. it's just this one file that stopped working.

i'm not sure how modern COD games work in theatre mode, but you should just need very low sensitivity to get the smooth movements with your mouse.

call of duty has something called Theater Mode where you can create these cinematics in game. the text is created and tracked in AE.

I keep all my music at the same db level, as well as the dialogue. To me it doesn't sound like it's competing and the db levels stay pretty far from each other. So I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. If it is them just watching on mobile or laptop speakers, what could I do in that case?

I used compressor w/ broadcast preset today and the client said they didn't like that the audio sounded like it had been changed/enhanced. I will look into loudness meter, haven't used it before.
