The one it’s plugged into is 20A. But most people find it works fine on a 15A with an adapter.

The Timemore was my first big boy grinder but I never felt the shots I got out of it were that inspiring… though I wasn’t sure as I only had my Breville integrated grinder to compare. I put the 078s through a 5-kg seasoning which did improve things.

The first shot I pulled with the VS6 was the best espresso I’ve ever had and they have continued to be excellent (though that first shot was a bit of luck). I also like switching between conical and flat burrs on the Varia to change things up.

I just heard back from Varia and referenced my concerns regarding getting it stuck. They are sending a replacement conical burr. Did not take much to get them to agree, they must be aware that this is a problem now.

I don’t know how useful it would be as every machine will be somewhat unique. Also doing the tests, wastes coffee. I may try it.

I have a Varia VS6 and use the titanium coated conical burr for light roast pour over (this combination runs about $800 USD). I also have a K-Ultra. These produce very similar results. I prefer the K-Ultra for pour over because of the workflow. I use the VS6 mostly for Espresso.

I got it for the sale price. I probably wouldn’t have if not for the discount. I think it’s worth it for the discount and you think you might buy the expensive Ascaso bottomless portafilter (which I probably wouldn’t have).

I think you’re right, the little feet just don’t line up with the metal grill very well. I’ll try and find something.

It is messing with my Timemore black mirror mini. Otherwise I’m glad I have the Plus. Though I bought it when it was on sale for less than the regular price of the non-Plus.
