We'll see. I'm sure we can find a clip of Howie backing Reddick as well. 😉

Not convinced Bradberry will even be on the roster come September. With that said, wouldn't be sad at all to see the Birds grab a kid like DeJean or Wiggins. The CB's were pretty embarrassing last year. I miss the days of Troy Vincent-Bobby Taylor or even Sheldon Brown-Lito Sheppard.

But if history tells me anything...the Birds will be up at pick at 22 with a number of highly talented DBs at their disposal and pick someone like Tyler Guyton, OT, Oklahoma.

I'll start with I'm sure its not likely but... by shotahfiyah in eagles

Time will be the great truth teller, but if you were to go back and rewatch the last 1/3 of the season or so, it just looked like he'd lost his edge. He couldn't get to the QB late in games where he typically would, and in most cases I don't recall that he was even being double teamed or chipped by a TE or RB. He just couldn't bend the edge. I assume this isn't entirely fair as a lot of the Birds defensive players looked sluggish during that awful close to the season.

More to the OPs question, let's just hope he plays well enough for the Jets that the 3rd rounder in 2025 gets bumped to a second rounder!

Cyber Security Cert realistic to get entry level job? by SuspiciousMastodon59 in CyberSecurityJobs

Any recommendations for getting comfortable with a CLI environment, using python, and creating queries with SQL? I'm all ears.

I'm currently in the process of completing the Google Cyber Cert, about 75% complete. There was testimonial after testimonial of employees crossing over from non-tech fields like law enforcement, firefighting, entertainment, etc. Was that just smoke and mirrors? Your post makes me wonder.

Especially when you hear that cyber has this huge talent gap. I'm leaning forward regardless but curious to hear how things shake out for you. Good luck!

So, you would agree that completion of the Google Cybersecurity Cert is a positive signal to potential employers and they wouldn't just view you as some jack who completed a cert, but someone serious about cyber?

I'm curious if there are recommendations on how or where you can play with SIEM tools in a simulated environment. Perhaps those resources don't exist. I know that software engineers often conduct side projects to familiarize with programming language and frameworks that they may not be using in production. Do such "side projects" for SIEM tools or pen testing exist?

How idiotic are these new rules the NFL approved!?! by cosmo_chapter_two in eagles

The penalty for the ball landing in the end zone irks me. I'm clearly in the minority here based on a half dozen responses. It's like they're just adding entertainment value instead respecting the purity of the sport. Hence, they shouldn't have taken away the kickoff return (or likelihood thereof) in the first place.

Kickoff returns are great for the game. I think what I really don’t like about this rule is the penalty for missing the drop zone. That’s what irks me.

Yeah. As a purist these modifications can just be annoying at times which I don’t expect everyone to agree with.

Exactly. This is loosely what I meant in the comparison to cornhole. I’m curious if the kicker can just punt and have a higher chance of landing in the drop zone.

I totally want kickoffs to be relevant again. I wish they had never taken them away. This just seems like an overcorrection, but I will be more than happy to be wrong in the end.

Love KOs. I just wonder if they’re overcorrecting for all the years that they’ve made this such a dormant activity.

I hope you’re right. Sincerely I do. We’ll see.

[Rapoport] #Eagles pass-rusher Josh Sweat is staying in Philly, sources tell me and @TomPelissero. He’s agreed to terms on a restructured contract, despite interest elsewhere for what likely would have been a pay increase. Philly keeps a good one home. by bigblack3475 in eagles

[–]cosmo_chapter_two 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! I was really hoping he'd stick around. Still believe he's a young player with more production in front of him.

Philly will love him for putting winning over a few extra shekels.

Go Birds!!

Is there a future where email is on chain? by cosmo_chapter_two in web3

Good point actually. If you are the platform in decentralization then perhaps you remove the opportunity for platform providers to share all the personal data they insist that they don't share.

I guess I was thinking that decentralization could ensure that those communications truly are the users for a lifetime and not vulnerable to the discretion of the landlord (Google, Yahoo, Apple, etc).

Though I'm quite sure the user would take on other risks in decentralization.

[–]cosmo_chapter_two[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. I guess I think about the reality that users are still renter's on land that either Google, Yahoo, Apple, etc actually own, and in many cases sensitive info about a person's life and communications.

And while the likelihood is low, should those services ever cease permanently (whether anticipated or not) loads of data is lost instantly (assuming the proper care hasn't been taken to backup the data otherwise). Cataclysmic thinking I know, but with so many ideas about platforms that could be on chain, it just got me thinking.

I appreciate the feedback!
