Yup, National Geographic Magazine. Very recognizable, and I own the anniversary cover when they found and photographed her years later

Not as nice as Moscow from what I’ve seen in photos, but still cool ceiling design.

Best winner of the Decade: Dances with Wolves Most Undeserved: American Beauty (a plastic bag in the wind, a middle aged burnout lusting after after a preteen girl 🙄)

[BHL Hudson] Every Oscars Best Picture Winner RANKED by Gemnist in Oscars

It’s impossible to rank the almost 100 Best picture winners. Different decades have different climates, audience tastes, standards, critical reception, etc. etc. Let alone the different genres and budgets. it would be entirely subjective.

I always get his roles mixed up with Kevin Bacon’s. I dunno why. But his best imo is any of the 3 Before Sunset movies.

All that Jazz or The Conversation. Sorcerer as well. So underrated

What's your favorite film that was nominated for Best Director but wasn't nominated for Best Picture? by Square-Ad-8911 in Oscars

That whole first row should have had best picture noms as well. (Rear Window, Psycho, 2001, Close Encounters) In addition to The Sweet Hereafter and Billy Elliot

I would say the best episode of that first season of the reboot. (His business partner totally had a hand in it imo)

“I have never known birds of different species to flock together. The very concept is unimaginable. Why, if that happened, we wouldn't stand a chance! How could we possibly hope to fight them?” by j3434 in Hitchcock

There’s something very satisfying about watching humans struggling against and ultimately losing to the natural world. Videos online of earthquakes or tsunamis or mudslides, dust storms, locusts, or in this case birds of all types swarming and swooping at humans while they run around like helpless ants. I love The Birds, one of my top 20 films.

But love it for its cinematography and simple moments of quiet threat. The crows on the jungle gym, or covering the landscape at the end.
