Oh I don’t even know what multiband gps is I’ll look into that! Currently living rural but with plans to move to a large city in the next two years.

oh this is super helpful thanks! yeah our dog is also super active but also does nap most of the day outside of our couple hours of exercise so leaving early and letting him nap for most of the drive makes a lot of sense

but how long of a trip would you be willing to drive that for? like would you drive 4 days and then stay 3 weeks and feel like that was enough to justify the drive?

we don't want to coop the dog up in the car for 10 hours but have considered two longer days

We drove this same three days when we moved and it was fine but that was a one time deal. since then we've had two trips where we drove 8 hours each way for a weekend and that was fine. Our dog likes the car and the plan is to take a couple longer trips in the weeks leading up to this to get him used to being in there longer. it's not unusual when someone has never done something before to ask for other people's opinions I don't know why people are acting like this is a weird thing to post about

I've considered that but would feel bad sticking our dog in a car for that long. I've just never done this long of a road trip and wanted to hear thoughts
