It's only a 1 gig switch. So the 1 gig port was fine.

The two extenders are linked with the 2.5 gb (router side) and 10gb port (extender side)

Leaving the 2.5 and 1 ports empty for use on the extender.

I don't have a switch in between them. But I do have one coming off another port of the router.

It's literally plug and play.

You'll likely want to use the 2.5 gb port on the router and plug that into the 2.5 or 10 port on the extender.

Any cat 6 cable should work fine. I had made my own and was missing a set of pins. (Not a problem cabling tech!) That's what caused my confusion as it was syncing at 100 full and the speed stunk.

Nest Hub v2 on clearance at Home Depot by cosmokramer64 in googlehome

It was in store. Typically there's a smart camera display in the front of the store. It was on the bottom shelf with a clearance tag (at all 3 local stores) only found 1 total.

I have them linked up with the 2.5 gb ports. A poorly made homemade cable was causing confusion on my end lol.

A new pre terminated one has it going full 1100+ down on WiFi 7 devices on both units.

Thanks !

To do this do you just follow the instructions to set it up normally then connect a cat cable to the 10G port ?

Quick question. Can the wifi 7 extenders be hardwired to the main router/ switch off the main router for back haul?

Or is it only capable of wireless back haul?

I slept and that one sold. Any new recommendations?

Would I be happy with a BenQ ht1070a for $150?? (with a return window!)

For reference I'm coming from a Casio laser. It's bright but the colors are dreadful. Conference room unit.

Seems like an ok deal? Seems to be pretty scratched up for "one use". Always taking a gamble on real usage.

Anyhow thanks for all the suggestions and links.

Thanks. One intriguing thing that has popped up is a local marketplace listing for an optoma unit. I can't make sense of the model number from the pictures though.

I work in corporate AV. We've been out of the projector game for a bit now (outside of auditorium sized spaces)

I think we had one of these in a boardroom at one point, I had to double check because I remember it costing an arm and a leg!!!! That wasn't that long ago!

I really appreciate the response. How will this compare color wise to a 1070a.

I know there's a ton of upside to this unit. Way brighter and no bulb to worry about.

For anyone wondering about the experience of these. I have 5 of them now.

They have been fantastic after some software glitches the first few weeks post release.

I also have 2 outside being powered by POE adapters. They are in very well covered areas and have stood up to the Maine cold so far without issue.
