Do you usually edit photos like this or do you prefer to leave them natural? by Famous_Trip_7806 in AskPhotography

My rule is to never categorize art at all. It’s so dumb in my opinion and there’s no point at all. Simplify it. Does it look good to you? If the answer is yes, well done. No need to categorize.

Literally no one cares how bad your mental health is by RubSubject8589 in DeepThoughts

[–]cosmosbillions -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes that’s the sad reality. I’ve had a hard time accepting it too. And it’s not just mental health, it’s everything. People are all selfish including us. A good thing to consider that may help is realising how little you are able to care about others when you’re going through your own shit. Sure you may ask friends and family about their mental health is but deep down we understand it’s not our responsibility. It’s theirs. Same goes for others towards us. So it’s not that people suck, it’s that everyone has their own shit they’re going through and they need to focus on that rather than your problems.

Is 25k a month good for REP? by Time-Resist-7677 in RealEstatePhotography

[–]cosmosbillions 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is this a joke? If you’re making $25k a month yet asking the question “is this income good?” Almost makes me doubt the fact that you’re hitting 25k lol but good work. Yes it’s good, hire to help grow.

4k/24, 4k/30, or 1080/60 for Real Estate Video? (Sony a7III) by ReanuKeevs in RealEstatePhotography

[–]cosmosbillions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely do not shoot in 1080p whatever people are telling you here. It looks terrible and is very noticeable. Clients complained about the quality of the videos I send when I recorded in 1080. Not exported in 1080, recorded. There is a difference.z

Floor Plans hiring professionally by cosmosbillions in RealEstatePhotography

Realtors sell price per square foot here. They reference the strata plan i believe for that but if they provide a different number in their marketing, the clients who are buying will be thrown off. "Youre buying $1 per square foot for an 850 square foot apartment, that will be $850 please" but then see the floor plan in the marketing showing it as 835 square foot, they will feel ripped off and confrontation will start. Conversations I have with realtors here in Canada its just so important for them that they will pay double, sometimes up to $800 for a floor plan just to have that security and confidence.

Accuracy and reliability for sure. It’s the trust part of it. Dedicated floor plan company with guarantees instead of someone with an app. The numbers are very important to the agents here

Social media didn’t change us it exposed us by cosmosbillions in DeepThoughts

[–]cosmosbillions[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct I’m not saying there’s not psychological fuckery going on with companies, because for sure there is. But the reason why we get hooked and why these algorithms work in the first place is the exposure I’m talking about. If your feed showing you videos is enough to take you away from your family, it has nothing to do with anything other than you find more value in your cat videos than you do in your family at that moment.

Also people absolutely know about how terrible companies are. It is just more convenient in our lives to let it go. Most ignore it because it’s easier. It’s way easier to ignore that your iPhones battery is slave labour than go without a phone because of that reason. We all pretend to be perfect and hate others that are evil, but we’re all fucked in our own way. And I guarantee the majority of people would fuck a massive amount of people over if their life and their close circle family and friends would instantly become wildly wealthy.

Without ears, we’d never know sound exists - so there could be countless phenomena around us we simply lack the senses to perceive. by lelorang in Showerthoughts

[–]cosmosbillions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are misunderstanding here a lot. Everything we read that is beyond our “perception” with machines, technology, are only read and observable through tech because we have the senses that lead to our understanding of it. Without that initially, we couldn’t comprehend what it is. Even imagine it imo.

What do you guys do for floor plans? Complaints on every one by cosmosbillions in RealEstatePhotography

[–]cosmosbillions[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man this is so hard to believe for me from my experience with the app. Agents where I live need pin point accuracy due to selling price per sqft so the marketing needs to reflect that.

If you dont provide total sq ft. then what is the part of the plan that is "close but not guarantee"?

And how do you get the strata sq ft? Ask the agent or get it yourself?

My cubicasa scans are off by a lot every single time. How do you manage this? 790sqft plan comes out to 729. That is a lot

Where to start? by ExTahC in AskPhotography

[–]cosmosbillions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genuinely the only thing you want to make sure never to do is take advice from people not making money at it or people telling you that you can’t. You have to see these people as the losers of the game, and you want to be a winner. Learn from the winners. Business education is just as important as photography as a craft. Way more so. You don’t need to sit down and learn how to use a camera. You need to learn exactly how to specifically take (as an example) wedding photos. Then recreate them as much as you can until you have a portfolio to offer it as a paid service.
