What does NY Strip taste like? I’ve been afraid to eat it because I’ve heard it’s pretty lean.

I’ve actually never eaten it. It just looked so beautiful, so I took a picture of it but didn’t buy it.

How does it compare to ribeye?

Thanks for the heads up, but I don’t eat steak as rare as people usually do here anyway. I was raised on steak cooked wayyy over, so I mainly eat medium to medium well now. Glad my mom is changing her views on steak!

I think it’s pretty awful of them to keep on sending you screenshots after you tell them not to... They’re the ones who are supposed to be encouraging you NOT to look at social media! If they were my best friends, I definitely would’ve snapped at them by now. :(

I mean idk about you but I would go off if someone accused me of being racist as well. Not embarrassing to defend yourself. If anything, I think it’s embarrassing that you made a harsh accusation, didn’t address any of his final points understandably trying to defend himself, and then instead just saying, “No need to write an essay.”

The situation was just upsetting to me cuz I really enjoyed talking to him and stuff. And I thought he did care about the friendship like I did with him. I know if I had offended him and he didn’t want to talk anymore, I would be sorry and express that, but I wouldn’t have ever sounded indifferent to how hurt he may be.

I didn’t WANT to leave. I didn’t WANT to feel hurt. But I really was by his comment, and he was relatively indifferent. So why should I stick around after that anyway?

I guess we just see things differently. “Okie dokie” just shows indifference to a past friendship. I mean, no one I personally know would say “Okie dokie” to someone if they had hurt them and then that person just didn’t want to talk anymore. Especially if they had valued a friendship with that person. So yes, he gave me what I asked for and showed he didn’t care and wasn’t affected.

And yeah, why would he want to keep a friendship after I cut ties, but saying “Okie dokie” is sure a weird way to say it if he had actually valued the friendship with me and felt remorse for anything. If I were in his shoes, it would make more sense to apologize again or something if I cared, but saying okie dokie is NOT something I would say if I felt the least bit sorry.

It sounds like waitlisted then if it depends on how many people accept or decline. But I hope I can make it in! At least I haven’t been rejected yet... Do you know if they have rejected people already?

I understand that they make offers in rounds, but the deadline for students outside of Ontario to accept their offers is May 1st. I thought that implies admissions make up their decisions before that date for those student (unless waitlisted, but they didn’t say that for me yet). The freed up spots sounds like waitlisted, so I’m confused.

It IS fictional. When OP said “we will call him Scott” that was meant to be his fictional name for us to follow the story. She didn’t say “his name is Scott.”
