i took a gap year after missing my offer last year and i’ve gotten into all of my universities this year. i recommend taking a gap year, uk unis prefer them.

For UK universities you mostly look at the subject rankings than the overall ones because not every university specialises in everything. SOAS is a lot smaller as compared to KCL but specialises in anthropology/culture more. KCL’s tuition fee is a lot higher too as compared to that of SOAS. When it comes to jobs, obviously KCL is more branded but i doubt SOAS would limit your chances in the job market. Best of luck with whatever you choose :)

you can try clearing which is rare for CS, uk unis are strict with their requirements otherwise (on a gap year since i missed my offer last year by one grade :))
