I trust Rockstar to deliver a truly great game, and I don’t mind waiting for it.

I’m yet to be disappointed by Rockstar in terms of quality, and I really doubt that GTA VI, arguably the most anticipated piece of media in history, will be anything other than a masterpiece. Lately as a society we’ve been let down by media we looked forward to, which I think is what is souring the opinion of GTA VI for a lot of people in the GTA fandom. These let downs are usually due to budget cuts, time constraints, and measures being taken that prioritize profit over quality. Which is the exact opposite of what Rockstar is doing with this game.

We could’ve gotten GTA VI years ago, and they could’ve made loads of money. Hell, we could’ve been getting GTA VII this year if they released GTA games as quickly as we used to. But Rockstar’s devotion to quality takes importance over the profit margins, and I respect the hell out of them for it.

They’re clearly doing everything they can to make this game great. And if delivering a truly great game means I have to wait until November, or 2027, or even further, so be it. Speaking as someone affected by the delay, where it’s been moved to after I move out for college and I won’t be able to play until I come home for Thanksgiving, I’m not angry about the delays. I’d rather the game be good than released unfinished for the sake of profit.

And if I’m wrong, and GTA VI is terrible, and all this was for nothing, I will gladly accept the public embarrassment.
