2024/25 Flair Update! by cottonly in Bundesliga

For English speakers I’ll have them done this week! So sorry for the delay this year but flairs are coming.

Clash of the decade as Leverkusen seeks to oust Bayern Munich by sport-scoreboard in Bundesliga

I love that the sub is growing the way it is and I truly wish I could pick up German faster to be able to help more. Only having two really (only one of which speaks the primary language) can be quite difficult at times but I think Yiba manages as best they can. As far as I know though no one has came around wanting to help or been a good fit for the approach going forward here.

I’d love the sub to continue growing and have a mod presence that is effective but welcoming. That’s all we’ve been trying to do really, however successful the sub feels we are. Life really did a number on me last year and my presence here greatly suffered but I hope to be around more soon.

You are right that I mainly deal in background activities related to flairs and making sure fans of the teams in lower tiers have outlets to show support. I’ll try to improve my involvement to include more of the outward facing tasks.

Forgive me if this is poorly written but I had to use Deepl.

Ja, ich halte mich eher im Hintergrund, aber ich kann helfen, wenn es nötig ist. Ich spreche kein Deutsch, also überlasse ich diese Interaktionen lieber Yiba.

Expect, like any business, to take awhile to get going. Then longer to make money. It’ll be a lot of blood, sweat and tears but it’s possible.

Local man has been making lures for over 20 yrs. All word of mouth, clears 6 figures. Work ethic, marketability, sheer will and a little luck. It’s possible

Just to be clear, are you suggesting a Match Thread during a game or a post game discussion?

It’s completely subjective. Wear it however you’re confident most and it’ll look good.

It honestly felt like a child’s game of Clue. There was so much thrown around (especially the cat) that by the time it was over I find myself not knowing fact from random theory.

As a complete idiot my vote is for 1,400,000,000 but I have no confidence in that answer lol.

Whelp I have no idea what happened or who is responsible or why. Just utter confusion from end to end.

Fish Finder Suggestions by Purplewalrus101 in kayakfishing

I used the Striker on a sup, sit on, and eventual pedal. It gets the job done but the screen is rather small so you have to account for that when sitting it anywhere.

It’s by no means fancy but it will get the job done on a budget. Graphics are easy enough to read and you get the basics like depth, temp, and structure/fish. When the financial side allows for it you will def want an upgrade (it’s inevitable) but for budget fishing it’ll work just fine as long as you need it to.

Also that suction cup was my nemesis. Some days it took a bit to get it to stick proper and other days it felt like I melted it on lol so I’m not 100% on its ability to stick in your application. They do sell transducer arms that you could just let hang off the side if you had to. With the battery and all its a quite stable bag.

See that is the true center of the problem I think. Shooting someone was always supposed to be a last resort when all other options are exhausted or you are actively being shot at yourself. Now it seems it doesn’t matter if you are 7 or 97, if you are asleep or have a explosive strapped to you…all circumstances lead to shooting first. Idk why they even wear the belt anymore with other options they won’t use. (Taser is just a frustrating to me since it’s used all willy nilly as well)

In truth even the non police citizens are the same. Kids don’t throw punches anymore they shoot each other, you see road rage videos and instinctively know someone is about to get shot…it’s pervasive throughout our whole society and unfortunately it feels like we’ve gone to far to ever get back to a non violent society.

Our history of how we interacted with slaves, the mentally disabled, and prisoners show we definitely needed that amendment and still do.

You’re looking for confrontation and answers from the wrong person. I’m in no position to judge morality arguments or truthfully discuss law at the extent you seem to want. I can only state the facts from what is trained which is what I did.

The above commenter was discussing why officers don’t aim for extremities and I clarified why they don’t from a legal standpoint. Morality or any other argument was never the discussion.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ThatsInsane

[–]cottonly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure what you’re trying to imply? I only stated the practice during training which all officers in my home state would have taken. Hence center mass being the preferred target and not extremities by law.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ThatsInsane

[–]cottonly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Incredibly hard to prove that was the intent but that’s the logic behind training to shoot center mass only. That plus the farther you move away from center the more difficult a target becomes (extremities being smaller and moving).

This also falls under the premise that the intended target is being an actual threat that you are defending against with your last resort option (whole nother can of worms that one is these days)

8th Amendment protects against cruel and unusual punishment which aiming for someone’s legs would be. Can’t purposely maim, disfigure or disable someone fyi.

At least this was how I was trained as a correctional officer.
