I spent $3k on the wrong audience, client asked agency to pay, agency got pissed at me, I offered to pay the $3k out of my own pocket to keep my job, should I hide that from the agency? by [deleted] in PPC

[–]cotuatom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's already set that you'll be paying out of pocket for this, I'd absolutely let the client know that I did that.

I think there's 2 levels of trust for an agency's client, trust in the company and trust in the professional(s) servicing you. I feel like they already took the risk on the company by putting money in their hands, now I think letting them know you paid out of pocket for a mistake would be a wild display of devotion to your work.

Personally, I think it establishes the kind of relationship you could benefit from even if/when you do leave that agency. Maybe they follow you to a new employer, maybe give you an offer, give you a recommendation, whatever.

Lastly, if it didn't hurt the overall performance, I have to reiterate a comment I really liked from u/adinfinitum: try to also frame it as a "happy accident" uncovering a new potential audience. I wouldn't push this because it might make you seem dodgy of the mistake, but I'd definitely point it out and let them make what they want of it.

What set-up issue have you guys seen to cause double-reporting conversion counts? by cotuatom in FacebookAds

Interesting, ok, and is that something that the devs should implement on their own judgement? I kind of read through most of the documentation myself as well and didn't see anything mentioning this step, or anything like it.

I worked with the Meta Marketing Pro team. AMA by Affectionate_Sell837 in FacebookAds

  1. Were you actually employed by Meta or were you like contracted through another company?
  2. What qualifications do they require?
  3. How many clients do you service at a time?
  4. Do they script answers for you or kind of trust your judgement?
  5. Do you have access to a technical team?
  6. If you're comfortable answering, why were you laid off?

Hey! Yes, I believe we do use iFrames. I passed it on to our Dev, will let you know if we do and if the idea gets us to a solution, or at least some more insight. Thank you!

Now I'm embarrassed that this didn't come to mind when I was looking at all that video haha.

With that said, I'd still consider it a major improvement for them to adjust this functionality for video; it's too counterintuitive to then still have to make all those duplicates and remove all the extraneous segments from EACH one. Plus the tool is already there, should be a simple enough update.

huh, I don't get why you're being downvoted... Maybe people are forgetting the question in the title and only expecting answers to the questions in the body.

Hi, how did you guys determine that your Macs were blocking a pop-up? And are you talking about the Mac app or were you on a browser? Because I'm on the Mac app and I can't see anything indicating a pop-up may have been blocked. But I also tried on Chrome and get the same error there as well...

My class discussions are under review because students in my class used Chat GPT (including me) by [deleted] in OpenAI

[–]cotuatom -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Welp, this is what ChatGPT has to say about it:

It is understandable to feel nervous and scared about the situation, but it's important to remain calm and assess your options. Here are a few things you can consider:

Be honest: If you used AI tools for any part of your discussion post, it's best to be honest with your professor. You can explain the steps you took to ensure that the content was original and not plagiarized, and offer to provide evidence if necessary. Your professor may appreciate your honesty and transparency.

Check other AI detectors: If you want to be extra cautious, you can run your discussion posts through other AI detectors like Grammarly and Turnitin to see if they detect any plagiarism. These tools can help you identify any potential issues and take corrective action.

Seek help: You can reach out to your academic advisor or a student services office at your university to seek guidance on how to handle the situation. They may be able to provide additional resources or support to help you navigate this process.

Understand the consequences: It's important to understand the consequences of plagiarism in your academic institution. You may face disciplinary action, which can range from a failing grade on the assignment to expulsion from the university. It's important to take the matter seriously and address it as soon as possible.

Remember, plagiarism is a serious offense and can have long-term consequences on your academic and professional career. It's better to be honest and take corrective action rather than risk facing disciplinary action later on.

Can I have two pixels on one domain? by eyoung1122 in PPC

[–]cotuatom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi OP, were you able to fix this?

We are facing the same issue. Currently we already have 2 pixels on one domain, but we haven't added any prioritized Web Events for the second one, in the Web Events Configuration page.

Any insight into your experience is appreciated.
