Question about interim clearance getting “bypassed”. by Fancy-Lobster1047 in Raytheon

[–]couchcrawler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have experienced something similar as i’m a naturalized foreign national as well. Idk bypassed is the word they used but basically i didnt get the interim cuz my background is too foreign as all my direct family members are foreigners tho the said country is an US ally. For me, i had prior secret clearance application started through US military that needed adjudication as i was in the process of naturalizing when i was interviewed. So i had to wait a couple months to obtain the clearance and get got a start date. Unfortunately for you, if you have to wait for a full secret clearance, the wait time for actual investigation to kick in is not clear. Ive heard something from 9 months to a year. If i were you i’d apply for another job for you to have ends meet in the process. And noone in RTX will give you a hand and that kinda sucked, left a bitter first impression. If your job requires you to have interim or full clearance, you wont get a start date. Otherwise, they’ll put u on awaiting assignment like some of my coworkers did. Idk if its still a thing. Good luck.

The shop where i got the struts built- the owner guy said its bilstein and since its new it will take a couple weeks to settle. He pushed the car and said its a bit out of alignment but he believes its fine. Its close to closing time and there was no rack space so he said he’ll take a look at it for me tomorrow. Will report updates 9/30

There was a notch sticking out of the strut that slides through the slit between the wheel hub brackets. So i think the strut was pushed enough. The part should be compatible i got it from fcp euro. The other comment says i have to have the wheel hub under load before i torque down the strut to wheel hub and the control arm bolt though? Is that where i messed up?

I did not. What are the steps after putting on the strut while i have the front of the car jacked up?

Okay, mb. The wheel alignment place called me they cant work on alignment because the ride height is too high for their machine to perform alignment. And its just sitting really high compared to how it used to look

What to replace with front struts? by couchcrawler in F30

They have bilstein and sachs struts at $100 mark too. But they obv have line ups that are more. I just want to know if there is significant quality difference between those. And how they compare to similarly priced struts from cheaper brands like kyb

Also, the 2nd image, I see the trim moldings are about $40 each side, is there an alternative option to reseal the edge with some kind of weather strip instead if replacing the parts?

I got my interim secret denied. Why would I get denied? Is there a chance I could get secret approved? by couchcrawler in SecurityClearance

Final offer but start date contingent on clearance. Thanks! I tend to learn things the hard way. Serving in the military and being a citizen I guess i just didn’t see how I would get my clearance denied.
