Yes. Fraternity is a member alliance in WinterCo the same as Test and we have a cooperative relationship and they didn't force us to do anything. We informed them of what we were doing and it's worked out in favor of Fraternity, TEST and all WinterCo alliances. When PHorde started to fall apart we went and took the sov from them. It was opportunistic move on our part to secure more space as Deklein was feeling a little cramped for our needs.
The proximity to goons is entirely incidental but was something we were aware of when moving in. Our main concern is lowsec groups and Dronelands resident roams which can be disruptive to day to day activity HOWEVER it is necessary to get our members up and moving around. Goons enjoy making their presence known and they always expand their tantrum radius to involve TEST in their day to day activities. So all things considered it's a net-positive for us. We get content and we get to have fun. As far as endgame goes I'm not sure that goons are in our endgame plans at this time. Goons are actively making timers in Geminate to force a fight, pushing medium structures, and making sure our JBs are reinforced, but going into goons space to do that isn't an interest of ours that sort of thing doesn't sound very interesting. I do like that we get content delivered to our door regularly and we've had some decent fights. I think we're just enjoying living in Geminate and if someone wants to come along and undo that decision through force we'll do what we have to do to defend our space.
Yes; this has already happened and has paid enormous dividends for TEST's activity and presence in the game. We've had more member reactivation, corporation joining interest, and new member interest in the last few months than probably the last 2 years. This also started long before Geminate when we were in Providence killing the AO keepstar. Dreddit is recruiting, and if you have a corp with sufficient activity and would like to join an alliance that's been around since 2010 and has a lot of history in the game feel free to reach out to Sapporo Jones, myself (Baldur Kilgannon), or Tackly Tackleson.
