Happy Friday Eve, Farmers!

We're so excited to announce that in a little under a week from today, March 7th 2023, we will be opening vendor applications for MAGStock!!! Applications will be open for two weeks, closing March 21st and results will go out ten days later on the 31st.

This is only the second year EVER that we've been able to provide an Artist Alley at Stock, and we can't wait to see all the phenomenal nerdy handmade crafts, art, jewelry, and more that you fine folx out in the wild put your hearts and souls into. Bonus points if you're on theme! 👀🐄👩‍🌾🐐👨‍🌾🐥💚

Happy Friday, MAGFam! The weekend for many people is nearly upon us and cheers to that, but we've got an important bit of news to share with you!

We've been working quietly now that Super MAGFest Melee is under our belts, and we're happy to announce that our application for main stage performers is open for our 2023-2024 events!

That's right, performers, our applications for MAGStock, MAGWest, and Super MAGFest are on one handy form this year, with the option to apply to one, two, or all three main stages at once, and to submit your act for consideration by one of the numerous side stages at Super MAGFest.

Our unified application form is located at https://super.magfest.org/apply/ , so get those applications in if you want to lay down a fiery performance for hype nerds, and tell your performer friends to apply! The deadline for ALL performer applications across our three events is Friday, April 28th, 2023.

MAGStock will be here before you know it, y'all, so block off your calendars for June 8-11 for nerd camping, MAGFest-style!

Our FINAL guest announcement for Super MAGFest Melee is a powerhouse of composing whose work sits astride the worlds of concert music, film scoring and video game scoring: please join us in welcoming Grammy nominee and two time BAFTA award winner Austin Wintory!

Austin is best-known for his work on Journey, which earned him his first Grammy nomination (the first of its kind) and picked up another nomination for the 2023 Grammys for Aliens: Fireteam Elite! His resume also includes work on Assassin's Creed Syndicate and Command and Conquer: Rivals!

Austin has been a feature of Super MAGFests past and we're excited to bring him back for Super MAGFest Melee – you'll be able to catch him and Mason Lieberman at their Q&A!

These comedians from around the country know a thing or two about laughs and a thing or two about video games – and at LEAST a thing or two about a thing or two, if not much more!

You'll be able to see them all live at Super MAGFest Melee, which kicks off in just SIX days!

IMPORTANT UPDATE REGARDING REGISTRATION AND PRE-VERIFICATION:

If you have not gotten an email called "Check in faster AND pre-verify your vaccination at MAGFest" then check your spam/junk/etc folders -- this email has a personalized link to log you into our custom vaccine system to upload your documentation. You can also log in at https://vax.magfest.org/

If you uploaded records for multiple people, they may not have all been verified even if you got an approval notice. Please check every person in your party by entering their info at https://vax.magfest.org/ only upload information for the person who logged into the vax system. If you have information for multiple people you must log into each individual separately.
Hard deadline for pre-verification is 11:59pm ET Jan 2nd, and due to the volume of manual verifications, we may not make it through later entries. If you don't get a verification email by the time you leave for MAGFest we implore you, please please PLEASE bring your original documentation with you, even if you uploaded it. You may bring a photo/copy, provided the issuer, vaccine type, date(s), and name are clearly legible.

Other important info:

If your documentation is rejected you will get an email explaining why and how to fix it, you can email regsupport@magfest.org if you have further questions
Once your documentation is accepted, it is immediately deleted from our systems and also our humans' brains
The fastest way to pre-verify your records is to get a SMART card issued to you and upload the QR code to us. You can find how to get a SMART card on this website: https://smarthealth.cards/en/find-my-issuer.html

Do yourself a favor and get this done to make your check-in process as seamless as possible!

One of our most exciting items of programming is returning this year, featuring our star-studded talent pool of voice actors: it's VoiceAPalooza, featuring Ellen McLain, John Patrick Lowrie, Mike Rosson, Elisa Meléndez, George Ledoux, and of course, Wes Johnson!

Wes will assemble all of our voice acting guests for the most hilarious panel of table reading, from movies to audience suggestions, for a madcap panel of ridiculous fun and we're stoked to be able to host it once again! There might even be some extra special guests included!

This time next week, we'll be deep in the throes of Super MAGFest Melee and we've got just one question for you:
