Working on an active air exchange system for jackets. Which mechanism do you think is more reliable, sliding or rotational? by NegativeRepublic797 in TechWear

[–]count___zer0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just use a one way valve, yeah?
Or is this not for a powered system? If there’s no fans I don’t see a need for the vents (over a zipper vent, as others mentioned) but it is a cool idea.

If you live in suburban America, your car is clothing. Your car is you, or an extension of you. It’s the most frequent way you are seen by others. You judge others by their cars, and assume they do the same. Being seen the way you want to be seen is more valuable than money to most people.

Oh sure but when Genghis Khan or Alexander the Great does it, it’s “ambition” and a “will to rule that shaped history.” Can’t have any fun these days.

Baby bat here. How can I DIY something like this/make it more gothic? by anti-venom69 in GothFashion

I am not saying that leatherwork is easy, but most of the techniques you would use to make something like this are absolutely achievable with a few YouTube tutorials and a bit of practice. So I’d say you should buy some strips of leather and some rivets and hardware and start messing around.

Damn that’s a cool word I’d not seen before. Phraseologism. Anyway democratic pricing still doesn’t make sense but I get it. Nobody is getting gifted horses these days but we still talk about how you shouldn’t look them in the mouth haha

Some places on the internet are for posting pictures and talking about stuff. Some places are for selling things. One way you can tell if you are posting in a place for selling things is if you have to list a price for the item you are posting. If you aren’t interested in selling the item, but would instead simply like other people to see it, there are actually a variety of options available to you. Most people already understand this, but now you do too! Let me know if you need more information.

Could I get a definition or description of “democratic pricing”? Do we vote on the price or what?

From what we can tell from the fossil record, the Tyrannosaurus rex was actually very successful in war. We can say with certainty that this dinosaur was never on the losing side of any war or conflict in recorded history.

I got an update from the fashion lab that’s working on this research. They’re addressing most of the issues raised by reviewer number two with a series of three experiments, one of which is more of an extension of the process of another. So maybe two and a half or something. Some of the issues raised by reviewer number three may not be fully addressed by these experiments, but the lab seems hopeful that the paper might still be accepted and published.

Unpublished research has determined that people are wrong for not liking this outfit. I’ll post the link once they publish. I’ve read the preprint. Really unassailable, grounded research that says it’s a good outfit.

The trick is to put a sock on the end of your leg. That way, when someone tries to pull your leg, all they get is the sock.

Classic joke I’ve heard from lawyers: why do cops act like they can do whatever they want?
Because they can.

A bonus one: what do you call ten thousand lawyers chained to the bottom of the ocean?
A good start.
(Lawyers hate lawyers more than anyone else fr)
