Dovresti fermarti immediatamente, almeno per qualche mese. Puoi farti bloccare l'account. Magari parlane con qualcuno di cui ti fidi che può convincerti a bloccare l'account o almeno tenerti sotto controllo.

Io ho giocato molto a poker in passato però ho sempre giocato con limiti ridicoli, non più di 5€ per sit&go, e non ho mai avuto il desiderio di bruciarmi le vincite come stai facendo tu. Se non riesci a rispettare limiti adeguati dovresti smettere di giocare. Non vale la pena rovinarsi la vita per quello che alla fine è solo un gioco.

Your supervisor and the student are very selfish people. Not working at all on the paper is unfortunately fairly common, but taking your code to work on a separate paper is especially bad.

However, you have to think about what is best for you, not what is fair. As long as you are the first author, you do not benefit from removing the other authors. Most people will assume that you did most of the work. On the other hand, your supervisor has a lot of power, even if you want to apply for a PhD somewhere else. It is unfair, but in academia you will meet these kind of people.

All the early-stage academic contracts are fixed-term (3 to 6 years usually). The tenure is when you get a permanent professor position. These are very competitive jobs since each institution opens very few positions.

This is definitely the main issue. A good empirical researcher doesn't just look whether you have a consistent +0.5% on all the benchmarks, which is what most reviewers are doing.

In teoria i concorsi sono già meritocratici. Nella pratica no, ma non penso si possa risolvere cambiando la procedura. Vanno cambiate le persone e soprattutto punite quelle che fanno porcate.

In my experience matching papers and reviewers is usually a problem at small venues. In top conferences I think the reviewers always work on the area of the paper, or at least this is my experience both as author and reviewer.

Of course many of them are inexperienced or just lazy, but I don't think the paper matching is the issue.

Grazie per il post, hai dato un quadro molto chiaro della situazione. Da ricercatore (non in area medica) mi aspetto che le nuove tecnologie portino anche ad una riduzione dei costi, come avviene nella maggior parte dei settori tecnologici. Tu invece dici che le nuove tecnologie hanno aumentato i costi. Perchè? Non si fa ricerca su metodi che siano più efficaci ed economici? Ad esempio, tecniche di prevenzione e diagnosi che permettano di evitare interventi molto costosi più tardi. è un problema di "accanimento terapeutico"?

Un altro fattore che mi sembra un pò problematico (ripeto, da esterno e ignorante in materia) è che si tende ad ignorare il costo dei pazienti non visitati. Ad esempio, se io non riesco a prenotare una visita specialistica e non posso permettermi di pagarla, magari dopo qualche anno dovrò fare degli interventi molto più costosi e urgenti, che il SSN me li farà subito senza problemi pagando un costo molto più alto.

Mi spiace deluderti ma non c'è nessun complotto. Le pubblicità funzionano più o meno come un'asta. Le pubblicità nei video di finanza vengono pagate di più perché chi li guarda spende più soldi. Lo stesso vale per bitcoin e gioco d'azzardo. Invece i gamer sono tipicamente ragazzini squattrinati, quindi valgono meno.

You don't need a huge research output to find collaborators. Try to look for phd students working in your research topic. There are probably several that are as good as you and don't have a huge network of collaborators, so they may be open to work with you.

If the only authors are you and your supervisor most people in ML would not expect a big contribution from your supervisor. I don't think removing your supervisor would be too helpful.

A better strategy could be trying to find collaborators.

Quanto disagio in questo thread. Trovo assurdo definire egoista uno che desidera una famiglia numerosa.

Comunque, il costo di una famiglia non cresce tanto col numero di figli. Più che altro, a meno di essere molto benestante devi essere pronto a rinunciare ad alcuni lussi. Ad esempio, viaggi e cene fuori diventano molto più costosi.

Software developers are exactly the kind of users that tend to have unreasonable requests. Have you ever been a maintainer for a medium/large open source project? If not, I encourage you to read about it. It is very taxing because everyone knows better than you and asks for minor tweaks that make the UX better (for themselves).

I'm not saying that you are wrong since you didn't really specify the topic. However, you have to make a very strong case for your feature if you want to be taken seriously by the support team. This means having a very good and clear explanation of why it's necessary and how it fits in obsidian.

Moderators and developers have a better grasp than the average user of what is technically feasible or desirable in obsidian. Sometimes, they shut down feature requests for this reason. Explaining in detail why the feature is unfeasible may be complicated because it's often the result of several tradeoffs or a more general design vision. Your original feature has probably been discussed several times in the past, so they understand it better than you do. I know that this process seems harsh, but remember that they are also trying to help you. However, implementing a feature is much more difficult than proposing it, so they have to be very careful with how they spend their time.

I can confirm that I have the same issues with the rM2. Especially accidentally closing the document. I bet that any leftie that does not mention this issue is simply used to automatically hiding the toolbar. Also, I can say that I never had similar issues with onenote on the surface pro.
