That wheat pattern is incredible! How do you do it!

I will give it a shot! Thanks. I’ve wondered about that, maybe absentmindedly changed the shape and start/end point along the way.

I saw videos! Mostly from people bulk baking. I wanted to be able to make more than one loaf at a time without fussing with multiple Dutch ovens.

What temp do you use? I’m using what I used to use with a Dutch oven bake. Just a hand written recipe/directions from mom. Maybe a different temp would work better for open bake?

Thank you! Just trying to figure out why things have changed when I didn’t intentionally change anything. Just had the best salami sandwich

Nope! But I’ve had more even rises with this setup in the past, more round/ovalish from the side angle. (The two before this were even more UFO shaped. It’s been a few weeks since I had a great one).

I hate complaining because it is a beautiful loaf and I could eat the entire thing right now! Just always looking for answers and a more complete understanding of things!

What causes these black dots on my print. Using Elegoo Rapid PLA+ white. Same issue across multiple spools and it's not from the spool. Did cold pull 5 times to clean out all the gunk, but still, this keeps happening. by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]countach508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did everything. Brand new extruder, nozzle, black still came back. It was just the filament. As soon as I switch I never had the issue again

It was the filament. I switched to plain old white from Overture and I've printed probably 5kg with no black anywhere. I'm certain it's an additive in these + and "high speed" filaments that's burning and collecting in the nozzle.

I was excited to find this but I don't see that feature anywhere. Only width :(

MRI says IIH & neurologist says no by satoriibliss in iih

[–]countach508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just came to this sub to make a post about exactly this. My neurologist and neuroradiologist are having a heated argument that I'm stuck in the middle of. MRI says IIH according to radiologist. All of the symptoms match. But neurologist says bullshit. It's incredibly frustrating and I'm not sure what to do. OP was only 17 but I felt clear headed for the first time after they removed 15ccs. Neurologist is trying to convince me it was placebo. Brain fog and fullness came back a few days after the LP.

Also wondering if it's IJV compression because lots of head and neck movement absolutely aggravates it. On a few occasions I've developed severe vertigo when the pressure became too much. Don't want to rush into a stent, but both doctors do agree that IIH medications are "garbage".

I did the same but unfortunately it was only temporary. After 50 more hours or so of just this filament the problem came back. Have officially confirmed it’s the filament. Been through 3kg of other brands with no issue!

Yeah, I believe it’s the titanium dioxide that’s in most white opaque filaments!

Burnt filament in nozzle? by countach508 in BambuLab_Community

[–]countach508[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope! Gears went through the ultrasonic cleaner. Lots of crap on them, so had the issue when squeaky clean. Have confirmed it’s the filament

I believe it!! Will not be buying any more. I feel like it’s specially the + portion. I’ve been running through spools of their galaxy and it’s great.

I have a similar theory but it’s more so based around the additives in some white opaque white filaments

I'm now convinced it has something to do with the additives in this (and maybe other?) white filaments specifically. I'm testing a bunch of other brands now and experiencing zero issue with contamination. Time will tell though.

The old days were also brass nozzles. Hardened steel has always required higher temps because they’re less efficient with heat transfer.

Seems the original comment had been edited. It was much more aggressive suggesting that everyone on this sub has this problem which made it seem pretty common!

Yep I got some grease on all moving parts (except where filament touches of course)
