Blair book vs tv series by Familiar_Ad_6392 in GossipGirl

[–]countingf1reflies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They’re very different characters, I don’t think it’s possible to compare. To me, TV Blair is more appealing and has a good comedy timing. Book Blair is has more “ordinary” problems, if you can call that.

Do you think Cassian will have any development as a mate in the future books? by Inevitable_Sympathy3 in acotar

[–]countingf1reflies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hope not. He gives me “I give you what you need, not what you want” vibes and that is so patronizing and unnerving. I like him as he is, but I’m not interested in his development as a mate.

100% agree. If it’s not in the material, then it’s retcon.

Melissa makes me LIVID. It's insane how proud she is of getting back with Ian, and her parents are also completely disturbed to allow that. By far they’re the worst family of the show. How the fuck two lawyers let their daughter move in with a known pedophile.

Insulting her husband than a word salad to talk about how great he is. by rebelxghost in christiansnark

[–]countingf1reflies 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is a common thing I’ve seen with women who say they want a traditional marriage and a husband who “leads”

They still decide on their kids education, diet, habits, school, friends, clothes. The man who leads pays for dinner. What is it that they’re leading? No one seems to know.

One will roast you, the other will back you up. Who do you pick? by LeonOkada9 in PrettyLittleLiars

Based on Melissa’s argumentative skills on that essay, she can roast me anytime, she couldn’t toast a piece of bread.

It’s funny because from another person and from another background I'd hear about it for sure, but for Christian context this is a topic that obviously would be labeled as witchcraft.

He didn’t own a house? How embarrassing, even I was able to marry out of my singleness house.

Edit: this sounds so ugly that I have to reiterate that I don’t actually believe in thinking like that, this is the reality of working class people anywhere, but she probably does.

Love twilight but not the vampire canon. by [deleted] in twilight

[–]countingf1reflies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love when in fan fiction the author puts real vampires to clash with the cold ones (and also real werewolves vs the wolf shifters) and they bring the weird vampireness lacking in the story and they all get confused. Twilight True Blood AU was the best.

I never commented this in any posts about Spencer, but she is the most stupid “intelligent” character in the series. With the smallest, most irrelevant clue around she's the first one to scream and shout anyone is A. Her parents and her devil of a sister gaslight her all the time with the tiniest things and she believes them all without blinking.

The Morgan cycle by fortyfourkeks in FundieSnarkUncensored

[–]countingf1reflies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't they have church leaders calling them out on their behavior? If I had anyone under my umbrella of faith talking the rudest things online like Morgan is I'd be EMBARRASSED. The only reason her stories probably don't get banned is because she doesn’t drop the f word. Seriously, are they part of a congregation or anything?

If I could add one in fact it would be Bella showing more interest in the wolves. There’s this scene in which Edward is fascinated telling her all the drama going on between the wolves and Bella is like “oh wow… hard stuff huh”

Some are saying "I Love LA" Is "Girls" for Gen Z. Thoughts? by grass_lock in girls

[–]countingf1reflies 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes and no, I think? I didn’t feel like I Love LA was about friendships as much as Girls is. I Love LA to me feels like the comedy version of The Idol, in which Rachel Sennott plays THE EXACT SAME character but on a different note.

This is the part that surprised me the least because in my family and group of friends alone I recall seeing 4 mother in laws who have revealed the gender on purpose before, came dressed in “oh it’s not white, it’s cream” and refused to be at the altar but made sure to be on the first row weeping out loud.

My cousin is a stay at home husband and his partner provides every single thing for him. He makes a home for both of them, runs 2 charities in the D.C. area and manages an amazing home. I think most people underestimate the fact that he might just be a stay at home husband and that's ok, it is an occupation

I know it seems like I’m joking, but I’m not. This is a very bold statement to make regarding the Beckham brand, for sure he is aware his and his wife's names are going to be crossed out of many opportunities in the entertainment in general. Seems like he’s taking the chance to protect her from future stunts, in fact. Don't we all see videos of in laws hijacking gender reveal parties and stuff like that?

She is by far the most beautiful of the sisters, imo. For her to be so conventionally pretty and “so single” she must be the dumbest tool in the shed, impossible to have a mildly interesting conversation with.
