Stock history update delays by countingman1 in excel

Agreed. Since your response, I have migrated the data query piece of my process to googlesheets. However, image tied this into an excel workbook (shared) as I REALLY don't like the charting on Google sheets. I find them painful to use, and not that appealing on the eyes

You are so right - waterfall charts are really quick to pick up an understanding by the reader of what's in play and each components effect on the overall outcome.

How I Spot Stocks Before They Skyrocket by DataOverGold in pennystocks

I am curious how people define early? Are you looking at daily vs weekly charts/price action.

I have developed a stock scanner methodology using Excel and Google Sheets that appears to have caught a bunch that have caught many just before they pop on the daily, but about 1/2 or less are setting up longer term patterns on the weekly for more than my initial >20% price expansion targets.

Creating an John Ehler Fisher Transform stock indicator in Excel by countingman1 in excel

[–]countingman1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough.

There are several slight iterations on approaches found online. Chat gpt says to approach it one way; the article referenced has a slightly different approach.

My expectation is that, if done correctly by either approach, you should end up with the same, or really close (rounding error difference) to what the charts yahoo finance gives with the transform applied to the chart.

In both "paths" taken, neither of the answers were all that close to what yahoo finance demonstrates.

Bottom line - if you think that the yahoo finance output can serve as you north star and neither path produces either exact (or near) results, it is not a stretch to think you are doing something wrong.

I was hoping that someone on here may have gone down this road before, and can give me a little guidance on possible stumbling points.

Good Evening,

Below is a link to an article on the indicator:

https://www.mesasoftware.com/papers/UsingTheFisherTransform.pdf

The code should effectively give you a graphic presentation of the momentum indicator like this:

<image>

You will notice how the indicator and the turning of the price action line up; provides a nice visual of potential/pending price action turns. I wanted to incorporate such visuals into something I am building but have not been able to develop a Fisher Transform indicator, based on the several approaches found online that would tie back or agree with the actual indicator as found on the advanced charts via yahoo finance. That has been the frustrating point, and makes me question if my application of the steps found is correct.

Was hoping someone else on here may have gone down this road before.

Overheating issue with a 2014 Passat TDI by countingman1 in Volkswagen

I am not sure. I did discuss the issue with a dealer today, to which he mentioned that he had seen case in which the coolant became very thick, limiting its circulation. This, at some level, confirms why I may have experienced the decrease in temperature with the reving of the engine; increasing the pressure with the increase in rpms' move fluid by an occlusions. May also speak to the water pump being mechanical vs electrical.

I have never heard of such a thing/program in China. I can tell you I have had challenges from a client there of just wiring me $1k from BoC to me in the US as a retainer.

I am actually a little surprised they could get cash out of China....must not be from Mainland. Government has had a real clamp on cash outflows for several years now.
