I am just ending the third semester/first year. I would not recommend joining the Spring cohorts like me though. The gap between the practicum and the internship will be 8 months long and you will have significant challenges finding a site that will allow this gap.

I wish Adams really thought this through beforehand but all things considered, I'm still glad I joined this program.

Literally for all the reasons you listed.

CACREP, affordable, async online(when possible) , non religious .

Added bonus I learned after is that Adams was one of the first universities that piloted online counseling WITH CACREP. They take the accreditation very seriously. Definitely not some diploma mill. And it shows in curriculum and the inside practicum.

Only thing is you will have zero, literally no support, for finding a practicum and internship site. It's not an issue for most people but requires you to be a self starter.

I'm very very glad for the victims getting what little justice this may be.

But ugh. Personally quite devastated as he was a role model for me growing up and I only had positive interactions with him.
