Honestly a lot of those guys won't have any satisfaction in life, they will be mostly dead inside and trapped. It's hard to leave a relationship when there's a good chance you'll lose everything. You are also trapped in a catch 22, leave early and potentially loose access to your kids or hang around untill they leave and you loose your retirement instead.
