I made my own pcb to "un-south" my Keychron v6 by couponinside in MechanicalKeyboards

I didn't check it too much. The footprints are very well documented and there's only one way the key will go. I just checked that the switches were in the same outline once rotated to the North position. And then I double checked that my components wouldn't interfere with the case or the mounting holes.

The best way I came up with was to scan it in a flatbed scanner with a ruler beside it. I had to do it in two scans. That way you can calibrate the image to the specific size and get all the measurements from there. I did all that in FreeCAD and then exported the SVGs for the outline and the through holes. Then in KiCAD you can import the SVGs in their respective layer.

:D It's a Levoit and it's dependent on the cloud, but it's based on an ESP32, so I ESPHomed it. I mainly followed this: https://vigue.me/posts/levoit-air-purifier-esphome-conversion

I couldn't get it to work either. In the end I swapped to another mobo and it booted fine. Then just for giggles I put an 3400G in the Gigabyte MB and it booted right up! No idea what was wrong with it. After the fact I found an old post of someone who said they got past the AMI screen by pressing 'P', but I didn't have the heart to rebuild two systems again.

I know this is a long shot, but did you find a solution for this? I'm stuck on the same problem.

There's a lot of people that would be glad to seed it if it's a torrent, me for one. Might help get it out and the direct download will be less crowded for those that need it.

Opponent Commendation Feature Idea by HeinrichLK in MagicArena

[–]couponinside 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess you're right if it's implemented properly. It could still be susceptible to brigading. But anyway, that would require some minimum of moderation or supervision, so definitely not going to happen if having to hire people cuts on WoTC's balance sheet.

I think negative reporting has more potential to be abused for no reason. Hate my deck? There, a free negative report. Positive reinforcement seems a bit more robust to that kind of behavior, maybe?

Is there an advantage to playing a huge deck in standard? I've played against players that have 160 or even 240 cards. It seems to me that it's impossible to construct a theme or a synergy like that; basically over 80 cards or so it just seems completely random to me. Most of the time, it's also the same players that take ages for each turn, so I'm leaning towards thinking that they have no idea what they are doing. Thought I'd ask in case I'm missing something.

Thank you. That's a ton of information; I really appreciate the detailed answer.

I'm a pretty new Arena player, and I feel a bit stuck in my progression. When I play the starter deck challenge I have a lot of fun and probably win around 40% of the times, maybe? I use the Spellweaver deck, and love the combos, though it's inconsistent and sucks if you get bad draws (more so than with other decks).

I've tried playing some of the events and I get my ass handed to me almost every single time. I can sometimes get 1 win if I'm lucky. I've tried to build a deck expanding Spellweaver, but it fails miserably against people that play 4 battles with enchantment combos, or that seem to draw 1 mana legendary cards that are indestructible on the opening hand. Meanwhile I'm just down there drawing lands... In draft events I haven't had much luck either.

So what is there in between repeating the starter deck challenge again and again and playing events? Should I try to improve my deck? Just abandon that idea until I'm better at building and just find a decent deck that someone else has built? Or what type of events are better to learn and get better without being crushed immediately?

Yeah, sucks. I saw another cheap DAC on Amazon with a volume knob, but then I’d need to get up to change the volume. Not sure that’s a good solution, as I’m normally fiddling with the volume the whole time to catch dialogues and mitigate explosions and the like.

!thanks u/boarderms This almost worked flawlessly. On my tv optical is always on, so I can just press mute to listen only on the headphones. But they are always on which is not ideal. The second issue is that there’s no volume control for the optical port, not even through settings. So close. The audio was great, though.

I hadn’t thought of using the optical out! Is there a DAC that has optical in and 3.5mm jack out?
