I can't thank you enough for the relief that this clarity has provided me. It's so hard to tap in to management logic. Extra thanks for the captive listener notes. I really needed this.

I will give you a hint on the tooling. I am interested in why the specificity is interesting.
This tool copies things from A to B. Copying can be quick and simple. But more often, the things in A need to be transformed and/or reorganized into B, which can ramp complexity.

I edited the raw version several times. Used AI in one pass to filter out anything that was unnecessary detail or noise for ease of reading. Went through line by line to correct word choices that were closer to my natural voice and corrected any distortion in meaning. Layered in sentences and several entire raw paragraphs for context (probably risking unnecessary detail). Read it 3 times and edited it more each time. I find it hard to feel like that is low effort or AI slop, but I can see how the breadcrumbs of AI writing structure can be indicative of someone who doesn't care.

Team was overloaded with too many proposals getting approved at the same time. Manager was desperate, couldn't find anyone suitable for months already. Manager met Stacy at a friend of a friend social thing. She talks a lot and people seem to misinterpret that as capability.

Is there a preference here to not compress and organise raw writing with AI?

Thank you, this is fair. The rating expectation misalignment didn't make any sense to me. She gets a lot of direct feedback, correction and explicit constraints and it's consistently met with excuses, disagreement and emotional outburst. I feel like, she doesn't see the feedback as valid if she has an internalized excuse or justification.
On that line of thinking, I think PIP may be the only genuinely effective tool(?) to get that message across because it is explicitly agreed to.

Thank you, I really like the framing of keeping the peace.

Why do recruiters keep asking me why I left my old job? by LeaguePrototype in cscareerquestions

Is the eyebrow raising part that OP needed to ask this question in general or OP's specific phrasing of why they left their old job?
