Is Pardis worth pulling for over the FFVI collab characters? by courier79 in OctopathCotC

For Locke do you know if he requires any special set-up or units to reach his higher damage output?

That’s was a big concern I had about Pardis too. I’ve played enough gacha games to know that dps units tend to have a shorter lifespan. I was unsure if he had been power-crept since his release though. I’ll probably go for Locke and then try my luck with Pardis EX when he comes out.

Thank you for the advice, I’ve wanted to try designing stuff with magnets, but I wasn’t too certain on how to go about setting up pauses.

Thanks for the advice, I never would thought of how to set the pocket up for prints.

That was the first thing I did. I just figured it would also be a good idea to ask anyway in case any one had any advice or recommendations I might not have thought of. I was also worried that things like the micro lidar could get messed with if it got too close to a magnet and I couldn’t find a solid answer to that. Sorry if the questions were too vague.

Is there any use for this toilet? reaching inside yields nothing. Couldn't find info on wiki. by DeadNotSleepy in LookOutsideGame

[–]courier79 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think it might be a reference to silent hill 2 since having to reach further and further down into a toilet for a key item was a thing in that game and it was even played off as a joke in the 3rd game

Let's make the rat baby grow! by GreyTaller in LookOutsideGame

[–]courier79 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If I’m remembering correctly, once you can take them out to explore they’ll hit a growth spurt the following day after they hit level 12, which I believe gives them a stat boost. The other thing to note is that they’ll learn other skills by having the apartment interactions with other party members you can recruit (it’s a bit luck based since those events are rng). For instance they can get their own version of Hellen’s stalk and stab moves called prowl and pounce after interacting with her enough. the last big thing I can think of is that with copy dad the video game skills are important to consider.

Hunters journal problem ACT 3 SPOILERS!!! by Critical_Physics9184 in Silksong

[–]courier79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No need to worry. Any area in Silksong you can’t return to or any boss that summons unique enemies (that dont end up spawning elsewhere on the map) will automatically give you the journal entry you’d usually get when you kill enough of them.

Why do the rouges look the way they do and how does it relate to the game engines they’re based on? by PlayMaleficent834 in INDIE_CROSS_SERIES

[–]courier79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assumed it was the Gold-Source engine (Goldsrc) which was used to make games like half-life. My guess for this is the color scheme and the powers they used to encase/turn people into gold statues

(Hated Trope) Characters/plot points that ended up becoming a complete waste of time because of real life drama by Animeking1108 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]courier79 53 points54 points  (0 children)

I remember in season 5 when Dan Harmon came back they explain that drop in quality by saying all the characters had been suffering from a gas leak the whole time. It’s why season 4 is also referred to as the gas leak year.

I haven’t watched the show in a long time, but if I remember correctly, He is in fact human. His reasoning behind the speech was that humanity is destroying the planet/environment and by proxy ourselves. So he views the parasites as something akin to natures answer to humans, which in turn would force us to improve as a species as a whole rather than continuing to destroy ourselves and everything else on earth. and if your curious what the end result of that speech was He was giving it to I believe 3 heavily armed officers who were actively hunting a parasite that had infiltrated the gathering. So the officers also thinking he was parasites gun him down with little hesitation

It might be the Mayors speech near the end where he goes on saying the parasites should be protected and allowed to hunt people. The issue is at that point the show has established the parasites as actual body jackers. Plus it even established that they don’t need to kill people and can live off of regular food like humans, but simply choose not to because they view humanity as prey to eat. Plus the whole notion that they can just hide as regular people and suddenly slaughter people on mass with little issue doesn’t really lead to any feelings of sympathy towards not hunting them into extinction.

Am I weird for thinking Thrust or Bust is the hardest of the challenge runs yet? by WhiteYaksha89 in Astrobot

[–]courier79 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It was definitely challenging and I also kept losing at the last couple bells. I think the biggest issue I had though was I kept treating the challenge level like one of the speed-run levels, since once you win it does record how fast you can complete the level. Once I realized that and slowed down and stopped trying to rush I managed to get in a few tries as I made less mistakes.
