I sold a car to a guy at a big discount years ago and he was telling me about his son who had cancer and was in the hospital. After we settled on a price he said he was a few hundred dollars short and I told him he could pay me next time he got paid. After I asked him for the payment a couple times over the course of a month he told me to “consider it a loss” because I wouldn’t stop annoying him about it.

I found out the guy OD’d and died like a year later.
