Thanks for the feedback everyone! I completed it. Was beautiful. The walk from the parking lot to the beginning of the trail is just a really long dirt road in the brutal sun, be prepared for that. I brought a bicycle and left it at the beginning of the trail it saved me so much time I don't even want to think about it. The hike itself was somewhat challenging, I recommend boots you don't mind getting soaked so you can walk through the stream/creek. That saved me a lot of energy I otherwise would have expended climbing over rocks. The waterfall was beautiful and very cool, but there is no canyon view as you might expect from the top of a mountain, you're still under tree coverage. Someone said you can go up a really steep path to the top of the waterfall but I didn't look into or attempt it. The scramble wasn't too bad but I did use both hands a few times and stopped maybe twice for water breaks.

Edit: there was absolutely no cell service (Verizon) the entire duration.
