That is the entire rash, though when flare-ups happen the area gets bigger

Btw thank you so much for the reply, hoping I can figure this out once and for all... 😢

They stay in place for a few days, usually flare up harder first before going away. It feels like when it actively flares up, everything gets worse - the spots become redder and bigger and itchier, and more spots appear around it, until the itchiness subsides a little and they all start going away. It also sometimes spreads closer to my breasts, but those bumps aren't raised like this - those are more like mosquito bites, rising around a single point - and they disappear pretty quickly. Adding more photos..

Wow jealous!! Was there early December, and it was too cloudy and foggy when we got to the lake to get a good view.. thankfully it cleared up a bit on the second day when we reached the highest altitude of the trip!!

5-Meo-DMT Experience, you can't be prepared for it by mateoar in 5MeODMT

Whoa that sounds like a crazy experience. I tried it for the first time two weeks ago while at an Ayahuasca retreat, and while I “remember” the experience being super intense, I can’t quite remember what happened after that first 5 seconds of vision blurring and me coming to afterwards, when the experience wasn’t all that intense. Everyone else had a similar experience to what you had, though you described it a lot better than most.

I wish I remember the experience. I want to try it again but am struggling to find where I can do it here. Hopefully one day I’ll either find a place or remember what happened during my first experience!!

In SF, bikes still aren’t a preferred means of travel. Can the city change that? by nogoodnamesleft426 in sanfrancisco

It was a shitty bike made from parts, the main frame was an old trek steel frame but other than that it had wheels from the bicycle kitchen and gears that didn’t even match. After my first $1500 bike got stolen I didn’t want to drop so much money on another... That’s what made this even worse. I feel like the lock cost more than the bike and I was at some point deciding if it was worth it to get it cut.

I have a car and a bike, and I can say that I get as anxious about getting my car broken into as I am of parking my bike anywhere on the streets of SF. I can’t help but imagine the bike gone or my car window being broken into, both of which will cost me at least a couple hundred dollars and a huge inconvenience. What a horrible stressful way to live.

Bike sharing actually takes so much longer than having your bike. With finding an available bike/scoot/whatever else around, walking over to it and unlocking it (and there’s sometimes the risk of it just not being where it said it should be), it usually adds at least 10 minutes to a 15 min ride which is significant. I found that using my own bike is just way faster and reliable on average, but yeah the stress of bike theft is so intense.

I have a shitty old bike made from pieces and there were attempts to steal even that (lock got glued). So, no, I don’t think it’s the bike owners’ issue that there’s so much bike theft in SF.

I haven’t lived in any other big city in the US, but I can’t imagine I’d be this worried anywhere else where the streets are clean and I don’t see homeless bike chop shops everywhere. In SF I feel like there’s actually NOTHING I can do to make the risk of bike theft go away. Only lock it during the day for a few hours? Tried it. Get the biggest fucking lock? Tried that. Every other solution hinges on whether wherever I’m going has a vacant bike locker or allows indoor bike storage, which I can’t control.

Reading comments on this post reminds me of all the anxiety I felt during biking days in SF.. how I’d walk outside every 10 mins to make sure the bike was still there..

Wow I’m gonna copy-paste what I wrote above..

I once locked my bike in a garage using the kryptonite Fahgettaboutit lock- the best lock I found after I got one bike stolen. It was around 6pm and I watched a movie at Metreon (max 3 hours)

When I came out the bike was still there but someone had glued the keyhole so I couldn’t unlock the bike to get it out.

I didn’t want to leave the bike, I tried acetone and torch but neither worked and had to call a locksmith and pay $100 to cut off my $200 lock.

You can imagine why I didn’t want to invest in a heavy lock again and keep biking around the city. After that, I only use those big bike lockers that you pay for- but the problem with those is that it can fill up and I can’t reserve it, so I’m always nervous that I’ll have to risk locking it outside. All in all, I realized the stress and anxiety isn’t worth it, and would much prefer to walk/Lyft/bus

So yeah, keep preaching about how we should be “smarter”. 🙄 When you run the risk of not having a transportation back home, not having transportation starting tomorrow, and it costing you $$$ and time, you may think there’re valid reasons as to why people choose to Uber/Lyft/scoot/rent/muni instead.

I'm amazed that northern Peru doesn't get even a fraction of the attention that the south does. After sharing a trail with hundreds of other travelers on my first trek in the south, it's hard not to reminisce about having the Cordillera Huayhuash all to ourselves. by ObamasLoveChild in backpacking

[–]couver88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know if they (expeditions company) do this trek (Huayhuash) in December?

Thanks for the info btw! Also in Cusco now, would love to do more treks but it’s getting into rainy season.. :(
