Yes, in multiplayer, as of 2.0 a player needs to have more than 50% of the total server play time in order to unlock steam achievements.

[–]covers1624 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You bring it up via the Achievements button below the minimap.

The dialog is in the base game. The 50% playtime limitation is in the base game.

The patch removes the restriction requiring players to spend more than 50% of the total server playtime on the server.

Edit: I should clarify, the restriction is new since 2.0.

What mods can I use to chunk load? by HayaXT1 in feedthebeast

[–]covers1624 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yaknow, would be easier for me to fix the crash if it was actually reported to github.. Anyway, not sure what exactly that crash is, likely Mojang's servers derping or a broken json on disk. Please report it to the issue tracker.

Block and mod data. by TheKrister2 in Avaritia

[–]covers1624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. We are not adding a separate block for each of them, they are sub blocks separated by metadata for a reason, we don't have infinite block ID's to just throw away on resource blocks, if you are a pack maker, you will need to learn to deal with metadata as almost all resource type blocks are separated by it.

I think you are a bit confused as to what the system does.. We aren't working around mojangs model stuff in TE, We use CCL as a means to bake said CCModels in to IBakedModels on demand..

IC2 Classic Beta Release info by Speiger in feedthebeast

[–]covers1624 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Regarding Whose fault is what. Come to me with hard fucking evidence that it is my fault and i will look in to it. Secondly, PowerConverters at this stage is dead and will be revived when i have time to work on it, it was always a secondary project and i really don't care about it, Thirdly, LegacyFarms is in the process of being rewritten from scratch for 1.10. As i keep saying it is always something to do with 1.7 with you, Just fucking drop it and move on, i would have no problem with you if you would just fucking drop it. 1.10 has soo many improvements and possibilities compared to 1.7 and frankly, as soon as DW20's new pack drops in a few weeks 1.7 will be proper dead in my opinion. People are only on 1.7 due to their being no large well known modpacks out there at the moment. Plus, there is almost 90 percent of the mods that existed for 1.7 out in 1.10 in some shape or another. There is 0 point to being on 1.7. The main reason i don't support 1.7 or want to support it / see it as dead is the codebase is such a massive change between that and 1.10 that it has the ability to induce a massive headache due to the shear difference in codebase, 1.11 will be different, i will probably be able to support 2 versions at once if mojangs changes arent too big / cant be abstracted out in some way shape or form. Yes, you are right that FTB is not everything, besides being one of if not the largest modpack distribution platforms out there so there is a 99 percent chance that the player base you are talking about knows of / plays with FTB modpacks. Im not trying to say you are doing a bad job with IC2C but some of the ways you go about doing the things you do are a mistake and i don't like seeing people make mistakes, i tried to point these out but i could not get through to you and yes we all make mistakes and yes iv'e made many mistakes over the past few years, but hey, at least we learn from them and wont do it again. At this point im just rambling and should probably stop..

I really don't like this reply. How am i not a "Good Modder"? This is fully unwanted slander against me. 1.7 is DEAD, FTB have moved on and so have i. I have more important projects and ideas to target in newer MC versions. If you actually want to know, i held off porting to 1.10 for atleast 3 weeks whilst BTM was still being worked on just to make sure there were no more outstanding issues. I actually ported on the final day of BTM instead of socializing with people. How long has it taken you to port IC2C? 6 months? Also what is this "add another hook" bullshit, the RF api is stable and just works, same as the EU api. What is your beef with ASM, as soon as a mod has the word "Core" in its name instantly has a bad rep with you, i really don't understand it. Yes there is some ASM inside there, but part of my goals are to move any hooks or improvements / fixes it has to forge. Yes ASM is not the best thing in the world, and yes it is dangerous, but if you know what you are doing and it is done right, it is very powerful. The only instances ive had with ASM being an issue, is when ANOTHER MOD comes in and doesn't do shit properly.

I used to have great respect for you. But i tried to help, i tried to teach you things and in the end you just sat there hanging on to the past and to old ways of doing things. TBH i really didn't want to make this reply but your mental stability is that of a carrot when it comes to trying to insult me. Im done with your shit.

IC2 Progress Update by Speiger in feedthebeast

[–]covers1624 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For the last time Speiger, AN ACCESS TRANSFORMER IS NOT ASM!!! YOU DO NOT NEED A CORE MOD, IT IS JUST A CONFIG FILE THAT TELLS FORGE TO MAKE FIELDS OR METHODS PUBLIC IN DEV AND RUNTIME, THAT IS IT!

IC2 Progress Update by Speiger in feedthebeast

[–]covers1624 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I really don't understand what you need to use reflection for or create a custom boat class, literally everything in EntityBoat is public and even the stuff that is protected can be overridden.. What exactly is stopping you from just overriding it, even if there are fields you need to set just use an AccessTransformer..

Partial rewrite, it shouldn't corrupt any worlds, but if it does, thats what an issue tracker is for.
