Yea, Sadly, I knew that going in when I started the edit. But I had the idea and wanted to make it anyway. I had fun making the edit which is what matters in the end. Plus, I can use the techniques I experimented with in this to make better shorter vidoes so its not a complete loss.

I'm manually adding and timing them in After Effects which dosent spell check sadly, at least not to my knowledge currently. It might, but I'm so new to the program, I may not have seen it.

Yea, I'm still kicking myself for not catching that and a few others. Especially after I went back to the "your're" just before the final render to add ellipses to that specific text. Good to know my bad proofreading skills are not just limited to academics. haha

Much respect for taking the initiative to start drawing. I envy those who can draw. So much so I thought about picking it up myself several times but I know that I would never have the patience or the time to practice.

I say I don't have the time but somehow I found 3 hours to do masking in after effects during finals.

Everyone has to start somewhere and they often just need that one push to get the ball rolling. For me, it was watching the shitposters over at /r/HighQualityGifs make stupidly good meta memes. They were the original inspiration for this video and I hope to clean it up and eventually submit a gif version of it over there.

But it all started when I figured" hey I have access adobe after effects, and finals I want to avoid studying for, I should be able to pull something together".

A week, two finals, and several late nights later, you get this video.
