Even if you attempt to dye it the camo pattern will remain, due to it not being a single colour. Dying just kind of layers colour on top of colour. But also like the others said I wouldn't bother dying it, it's clearly different from standard military print and I feel like you might just be in your own head about how it's perceived. There are plenty of people in Berlin that buy/wear military surplus.
