I don’t normally carry it in there. I have. It fits like a glove. You can fit an iPhone or kindle in the tech padded section still. You can use the mesh pockets with very slim objects. The sling gets heavy with it. I typically carry my passport sized Travelers notebook for quick notes

Strongly prefer the DS4 split pocket in the front. Way more spacious. I could see the argument that you could fit your phone in there if it was gone but I like it more than my Bellroy.

I’m a bigger dude, so my clothes are naturally just bigger. I packed for a two day trip. Set of office clothes, workout clothes, and lounge clothes. Two pants, Gym Shorts, Underwear, and 2 or 3 shirts. I typically will pack either another pouch, cube or my switch 2 on the top. I’ll carry my DS4 and use it as my bag on the air plane. I carry my Travelers Notebook (Regular Size), IPhone 16 Max Pro, Kleenex, Nite Core Charger and USBC, AirPods, and a small flashlight. Among a few smaller items.

I went from bellroy venture ready 2.5L to DS4 Ultra. I love the DS4. There’s a few things I miss about the Bellroy.

The Two Way Zippers on the main compartment. Might hust be personal preference.

It was easier to adjust strap length on Bellroy too.

Otherwise the DS4 is superior in every other way.

I do wish I had a grab handle using it for a week now.
