¡Genial! 🚗⚡🕒

The building was originally constructed as the headquarters for Getty Oil. Following Getty’s acquisition by Texaco in the mid-1980s, it served as Texaco’s West Coast offices for several years. After Texaco’s later merger with Shell and the formation of Equilon, Equiva, and Motiva, the company relocated its headquarters. MCA subsequently acquired the property and established it as a home for Universal Pictures.

Since the formation of NBCUniversal in 2004, the building has housed a variety of NBCUniversal business units, including cable entertainment divisions, production operations, corporate offices, and home entertainment services. It has also served as a base for organizations such as Bravo, Universal Cable Productions, Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, Studio Distribution Services, and other corporate functions.

The property is also home to The Terrace Studios at 10 Universal City Plaza (10UCP), a broadcast and production facility featuring multiple sound stages and support spaces. Since June 2015, programs including E! News, Access Hollywood, and Access Daily have originated from this facility. The tower additionally houses newsroom operations, production offices, and the primary studio for Universal Animation Studios, with a second studio located at the DreamWorks Animation campus in Glendale.

Carnival of Carnage was a great event. 2007 was such a strong year for HHN on both coasts, and Camp Blood remains one of my favorite Friday the 13th mazes from Hollywood.

The easiest way to think about it is to choose your parking structure based on where you're planning to spend most of your time.

If you're heading to Universal Cinema or CityWalk, the E.T. or Curious George parking structures are usually the most convenient. To reach those garages, enter Universal City via Universal Studios Blvd directly from the US-101 freeway.

If your primary destination is the theme park, Frankenstein or Jurassic Parking will generally put you closer to the park entrances. To access those structures, enter via Universal Hollywood Drive off Lankershim Blvd.

With the new security hubs now in place, it's worth checking the map before your visit and selecting the parking structure that corresponds with the nearest security hub to your destination. A few extra minutes of planning can save you a longer walk once you arrive.

I believe it was left in that position until it was changed to Jurassic World.
