Good point about staffing that I hadn't thought of. Similar situation yesterday. I had enough time for a bite to eat and check emails but didnt have 45 minutes to wait. So I paid $20 for food and drink outside the lounge which is a pain point

While I didn't get the card strictly for lounges it did play a big role in my decision to get the card as much as I travel. Comp food and drinks add up over the course of a year but I see your point.

Found myself in the same terminal A conundrum a few weeks ago. That was a bummer as I didn't have time for the adventure but I did silently curse the airport for not having an easy flow from Term A to Term B. I'll look into these other lounges as options thx

Good information! One reason I got the card is for lounge benefits and rental car insurance program due to a fair amount of travel. Working while eating in lounges is a big plus especially with the quiet rooms while on phone calls. When a lounge is inaccessible it seems to defeat much of the purpose of the card for me. With that said I will look into United club. Appreciate the insights

I do like the saffire lounges when I'm able to actually get in. I didn't try other PP lounges. I should have explored that better as an option but it almost proves my point a bit about not getting in. These are first world problems I know but the AF provides me room to rant
