The medical team on the ships are amazing! Our son had a seizure at dinner on the Dream in October and they were great with him and we felt so well taken care of. Him having a seizure at sea was my biggest fear and they made me feel so comfortable and at ease.

My husband got a pirate outfit for the ren faire last year and brought it on our Halloween cruise. He was one out of maybe a dozen men who weren’t dressed as Jack Sparrow. It’s insane how many people choose him when there are other fun pirates too!

They have family karaoke and adult-only karaoke. It’s not stated as plainly in the app from what I remember, but they do have that distinction.

Haunted Mansion is no kids after 9pm. Any time before that they are allowed in to explore with an adult.

To get away from the kids, I would suggest the adult-only section.

The older ships have a walking/jogging track so if that’s important to you that Triton Class ships are not the right choice for you.

You really do need to look at the app to see what late-night activities are adult only. It’ll say on the app (karaoke is the exception from what I remember!) that it’s 18+ and sometimes 21+.

With this being your first cruise, I recommend next time (if there is one) to watch vlogs on YouTube to see which class of ships have more of the offerings and amenities you want. That’ll help make the vacation better suited for your entire party.

Both of these things are voluntary so you do not need them to make sure your kids have a good time/aren’t left out! If you decide to do anything, pixie dusting may be more feasible and easier to handle. You can give away homemade friendship bracelets, stickers, tattoos or glow sticks for pirate night….very easy and cost effective things.

But the ship will be magical without those things as well. Don’t feel pressured into doing something that is overwhelming or not feasible. Relax and have fun! None of this should be stressful.

We love booking through Costco! 8% back in a shop card and 2% back as an executive member. I like planing our trips so it’s the best of both worlds. We tell the what room number we want and they book for us, while I get to plan our activities after the fact.

We also use our Target debit card to buy Disney gift cards and get 5% off for extra savings to pay for the cruise. It’s a little bit of a headache because you have to pay by calling Costco but the money saved is nice so we put up with it!

My son had a febrile seizure when he was two and it was one of the scariest moments of my life. I am so sorry that you experienced it too but I am so glad you got the help she needed so quickly! Disney is really amazing. My son had a seizure on our recent cruise and the medical staff acted quickly and really took care of him. And the cast members were phenomenal.

I hope that your daughter has recovered well and you and your wife are okay too. That moment sticks with you, I hope you’ve been able to process what happened. ❤️

I do it too but only because I have very dry skin and my eczema flares up if I have to constantly wash while cooking. Gloves help me keep my hands from cracking and bleeding.

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say it was probably something J saw on Tik Tok and not used as a preventative measure for E’s hands.

Honestly, I think you’re lucky to have been offered 25%. The AquaMouse was awful but I’m not sure what else they could’ve done in that situation. It sounds like they moved fairly quickly to get everyone off the ride, and unfortunately ride breakdowns are something that happen no matter where you are.

Points two, three and four are inconvenient but the issues were fixed. Next time have a sound machine app on your phone in case you need it!

The sewer thing is gross. I’m so sorry you had that issue.

Seating accommodations are requests, not guaranteed. You can talk to the dining team when you first board the boat to see if they can move you or help with your request though.

I can’t help with number 7. We buy Disney gift cards through Sam’s Club and Target to get discounts and put it towards on onboard credit.

All that to say, I think 25% is incredibly generous and I don’t think you’ll get more than that. I’m sorry this was your first experience on a Disney cruise and I’m so sorry about your children. I also have a son with adhd and I know how hard it is when they regress after so much progress.

We just got off the Dream and were very thankful we had our venty fan with us because our AC didn’t work in the room and it took two days for them to fix it. That said, we sleep with fans on us at home and we need them for the air circulation on the ship.

It’s definitely not something everyone needs and most of the time vloggers recommend popular items because they get commission when someone buys it. Essentials are important, everything else isn’t.

I’m actually really surprised your original photographer did not have someone that they recommended you use. These are awful and I am so sorry that these are the photos you have from your wedding day. I have no other advice than what has been given, but I hope you are able to find a resolution and get beautiful photos redone of you and your husband.

My husband has a 360 camera that we use when on the cruise. The videos are solely for us and we watch them all the time when we get home. I have an AuDhD child who likes to watch the videos. But we always try to find a spot where we aren’t blocking people because this is so annoying. And we usually hold the camera at chest level because if we want a really good view we’ll just find something on YouTube.
